I''m bored of Song 4 Mutya already, glad it''s not nominated.
Yep, it''s miles better. Lyrically, musically, vocally - in every way.Originally Posted by lisaj

Been there, done that, t-shirt didn't fit.
Every Lily Allen single is better than these singles:
Catch You, Foundations, Shine, Don''t Give It Up, Beware Of The Dog
Why wasn''t Lily Allen nominated?
Oh, don''t be so harsh on it. Just think how bored of it you will be one year from now!Originally Posted by Hullaballoo

If I could choose the order in which songs were knocked out, it would be this:
12. Robbie Williams - She''s Madonna
11. Kate Nash - Foundations
10. Booty Luv - Shine
9. Calvin Harris - Acceptable In The 80''s
8. Mark Ronson - Stop Me
7. Roisin Murphy - Overpowered
6. Bodyrox feat. Luciana - Yeah Yeah
5. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Catch You
4. Jamelia - Beware Of The Dog
3. Amy Winehouse - Rehab
2. Siobhan Donaghy - Don''t Give It Up
1. Girls Aloud - Something Kinda Ooooh
I can imagine the outcome being a bit like this, actually.
I happen to agree. LDN is one of the happiest most wonderful British pop singles of the year and shouldn''t be placed under Catch You. There''s a sense that nobody but Lily could have done LDN, it''s just a unique little song. Catch You (no offense) could have been given to anyone. Don''t Give It Up is good but it''s not that unique.Originally Posted by misterpete

The prize isn''t for the most unique song, it''s for the best song.Originally Posted by Kirkland

i agree with kirkland. LDN has it all over many of the entries on the shortlist, and its omission is a popINjustice of massive proportions.

Lily allen deserved a nomination. I demand she be added to the short list.Originally Posted by jsd

And it still should have been included. It''s far better than at least five songs on the list in my wee opinion. Catch You is okay but it''s pretty uninspired. Foundations is hopefully a fluke and Don''t Give It Up is fab but I still prefer LDN. LDN is so fresh and happy.Originally Posted by callyoumybitch

2. Girls Aloud - Something Kinda Ooooh
1. Jamelia - Beware Of The Dog
It is never going to happen though
I have no fixed idea of how I''d rank them, such is the quality oif the list. Everytime, I try I end up changing the top song about umpteen times. There is a definite top six in my mind:
Rehab
Foundations
Something Kinda Ooooh!
Acceptable In The 80s
Shine
Beware Of The Dog
I suppose who I''d ultimately choose would depend on the moment. And peer pressure (meaning Girls Aloud probably would get my vote).
They are all great songs, yet if I were to choose a winner, I couldn''t. I don''t think any of them scream ''winner''.
