    2. Dirrty (featuring Redman)

    Average Score: 9.48
    Highest Score: 10 (x16)
    Lowest Score: 7.5 (x1)

Dirrty was released as the lead single from Stripped. It became notorious for its highly-sexualized David LaChapelle video which was bashed by critics. Linda Perry, upon seeing the video, famously asked her “Are you high? This is annoying. Why are you doing this?”. Christina decided to misspell Dirrty as a way of personalizing it, and also considered other spellings like Dirtee and Dirrdy. While becoming a smash #1 hit in the UK, it ended its US chart run at #48 becoming her first single to miss the Top 3 on the Hot 100. Christina later recorded a sequel to Dirrty called Still Dirrty for her third album Back to Basics.

God dammit, why do I have to be so correct all the time?! I knew I should've give Toxic a 0 when I had the chance!!
You'll never get the best of me, no, you won't.

Worthy winner but definitely not the winner I wanted - Britney doesn't need to win any more rates!!

Believe it or not, Dirrty was actually winning for a long time. It was only near the end when it got a few 9s that it got pushed back to second place.

  7. #532
This is Britney's 4th consecutive rate to win in Album Averages!!
"Ben, I love to hear you say that you love me, with words so sweet. And I love the way with just one whisper, you tell me everything"

Dirrty is unlistenable. So glad Toxic won! (Even though I didn't participate)
You took my heartbeat from me, this is the saddest story

  9. #534
Yay for Toxic! One of the best pops songs full stop.

  10. #535
I had a horrible dream last night. I actually dreamt "Dirrty" had won and all the Christina stans made fun of those who voted for Britney. I'm so glad that I woke up to find "Toxic" had won.

  11. #536
Dirrty is the filthiest, slimiest, crotch grabbingly sexy party song ever, whereas Toxic is quite average once you remove the sample.
Well this is just jolly isn\'t it?

  12. #537
Things have gotten progressively better since the absolute embarrassment that was the Bumming Blackout Rate. "Toxic" truly does deserve to win.

Just as "Poker Face" did. I still weep for "Bad Romance" (SIX?!?! SIX?!?!?!) and "The Edge Of Glory".

  13. #538
This is....acceptable. I think that was my 7.5? *runs into a bunker*

I did give Toxic 8.5/10 though, so was fair to both.
Yeah because Lady Gaga is the only pop star of this generation to have an iconic anthematic song. California Gurls says hi. *Eye roll*

  14. #539
I adore both and whilst 'Dirrty' is more my personal "jam", 'Toxic' is truly one of the best pop songs of all time. Definitely the strongest final of any of these rates.

'Bad Romance's sixth place rating still haunts me too.
    "Ardent Rihanna mud-slinger"

I think the only one we need to cross off now would be a Baby...One More Time/Christina Aguilera/Dangerously in Love rate?

Great rate, RainOnFire, and a worthy winner indeed. It was nice to see 'B'Day' get such a high album average.

In the above rate, I'm thinking that Beyoncé would stand a very good chance of getting some high placings. 'Dangerously' spawned some huge hits - 'Crazy In Love'/'Naughty Girl'/'Baby Boy' was a huge trio of records, backed up with 'Me, Myself and I' and '03 Bonnie and Clyde'.

I'm guessing it would be a fight to the death for 'Baby...' and 'Crazy In Love'.
The capital 'E' means I'm 'bout that life.

...Baby One More Time would smash that with Crazy In Love coming second surely?

Rightfully of course. Although 'Email My Heart' could surprise us all!

Christina's single run was flawless in that first era though- Genie in a Bottle, Come On Over and What a Girl Wants are all fantastic!

I will be giving 10/10 to Email My Heart, and I offer my condolences to all that decide not to follow suit.
Yeah because Lady Gaga is the only pop star of this generation to have an iconic anthematic song. California Gurls says hi. *Eye roll*

  20. #545
E-Mail My Heart would be the rightful winner. Everyone can relate to it after all.

  21. #546
Aren't you kind of doing an Email in sending your PM to the rate host? Don't you get an email notification when you've received the PM? It's full circle. Not they can relate to it, they must relate. Therefore, it's only unequivocally moral and ethical that a 10/10 is given.

    (am I overthinking this?)

  22. #547
Well that depends on if you're putting your heart into said PM when sending it, and I would say if you can truly stand behind your scores within said PM, only then can can you say you've emailed your heart. So with that in mind, if you really do understand the meaning behind album rates, and the effort that should go into giving what you feel is indeed the right score (putting your heart into said PM [email]), then I guess theoretically yes, because of its amazingly relatable nature in this circumstance, E-Mail My Heart has to receive a 10 from everyone, for their scores to even be valid in the first place!
