I need your help! Basically, I need someone to send some money to (via Paypal) so that kind sould would be able to 'gift' it back to me on iTunes (I have an account there). Maybe even for a small fee, hehe. I know there's 7Digital (which I LOVE), but there are still some iTunes-exclusive releases and I sure ain't spending 700$ on a 45 pound gift card on ebay (can you believe it?!). Thanks in advance, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

I'm in Ireland, so I couldn't help you, there must be someone on here though?!
    YNWA.

If you have an eBay account, there are a lot of people that sell gift cards. And they send you the redeem code as soon as you pay.

^Did you read the first post?

This forum being like 80% UK and no one stepping up to help. gr4werfgfdf. Sorry Aime.

I'm Irish too so... it's kind of the same thing I guess? Music release wise that is. What are the UK exclusive songs? I can have a look if they are for sale on my iTunes.

I was about to say yes but I went on the gift page and it says "gifts can only be redeemed in the store country from which they were originated. This gift will be redeemable only in the UK store."

Yes, I read it. Since I'm not from the UK and have wanted to buy things from the UK iTunes store in the past, I asked a friend to gift me some money, which I paid back through PayPal.

And guess what! The good people on eBay also use the same magical system, so you can pay them and then they'll send you the redeem code for the gift card.

Are you sure you read it? The cards on eBay cost hundreds of dollars for something that costs £45. She's not buying it off eBay.

Odd, even if you set the search filters to Worldwide it still doesn't show all the listings.

eBay UK has you covered though. The prices are completely normal.

  10. #10
None of them ship to the US though and I'm sure if they would they would skyrocket the price.

  11. #11
Why would you need it shipped? You just need the code from the gift card, which is sent by message.

  12. #12
Some of them have shipping and the one's that don't have this message.

********** PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING **********

THIS IS A UK ONLY AUCTION

PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO BUY FROM OUTSIDE THE UK, THIS INCLUDES CHANGING YOUR ADDRESS TO A MADE UP UK ADDRESS IN ORDER TO BUY LIKE SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE TRIED, ALL ORDERS ARE CHECKED BEFORE SENDING AND IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN I WILL JUST REFUND YOU SO PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

ALSO I KEEP A RECORD OF ALL CODES THAT I SEND AND THE EBAY ID OF WHO I SEND THEM TO, IF A CLAIM IS MADE THAT A CODE DOSE NOT WORK I WILL CHECK WITH APPLE TO SEE WHEN IT WAS USED AND BY WHO.

ALL CODES I SELL ARE GENUINE AND I CHECK THEY WORK AS I SEND THEM.

(I DO THIS BY TRYING TO ENTER THE CODE IN ITUNES WITHOUT SIGNING IN, IF THE CODE IS VALID IT ASKS YOU TO SIGN IN, IF ITS NOT IT SAYS ITS AN INVALID CODE)

********** ALL FRAUD WILL BE REPORTED **********
This looks to be the only genuine, non scammer who doesn't give a fuck. Not sure if he/she delivers to the US though...

Wow, that person is such a snob. I hadn't read those disclaimers.

    What about these?

This one also looks genuine, and the seller has quite a bit of feedback points.

None of you can just do what she's asking?

    Pfft. How British of you.
And I think I found love, but forgot who with...

Woah, I thought this thread was gonna flop harder than [insert a not-so-successful album here], but it pleases me to see so many people trying to help. One thing though, I'm ALL MAN, haha.

I know baby but I do have an account there so that's exactly what I'd like to do - to redeem it in order to buy things on UK iTunes.

Anyway, I asked one of my Scottish friends and he's gonna give it a shot, but if that fails, I'm gonna give this Australian seller a go. Once again, thanks guys, really appreciate it!

Oh I see! Well don't hesitate to drop me a PM if that doesn't work out, I'll happily do it. (mostly because of your avatar)

I've got an Australian iTunes account, which opened up a few months ago to flesh out my collection of Delta Goodrem B-sides and other Australian only artists. It's so painless and easy to do over ebay with a reputable seller, it's great that you get the code instantly.

If you still have trouble, then I'd be more than happy to help you out and gift you some songs.

If a label doesn't release an artist's music in a way that makes acquiring it legally (which I believe getting a foreign iTunes card and setting up a sham address is questionable from a legal standpoint) and affordably (i.e. not via expensive imports), then illegal downloading is the only way. They don't want your money and you shouldn't have to go out of your way to give them your money for a product.

Yes, international rights issue continue to be a problem, but for an industry that has lost a lot of money due to the Internet, they seem to be entirely reluctant to embracing the fact that, in terms of purchasing digital files, international borders have lost relevancy.

    I couldn't agree more.

Though of course, sometimes it's hard to find certain songs or remixes even illegally! And occasionally there will be something on a foreign iTunes I want but can't find on the web. That's really the worst.

I'm on the same boat as clarke these days. Regardless if I live in Bulgaria, I should have access to all releases considering there is an official iTunes store. Whenever I can't find a song on iTunes I pirate it. If it becomes available at some point later I buy it. Sucks if they don't want my money, considering how much they spend on 'fighting piracy'...
