Her 4th album will be a return to R&B (*facepalm*) and will be released later this year (or 2016...).
1st single should premiere today! "Ice" feat. Lil Wayne.

The dance-pop sound is getting a little stale, so I'm all for a return to r'n'b. Motivation and Lay it On Me were amazing on the last album.
I think Kelly doing an r'n'b track is more likely to be a hit in both the UK and USA (her two biggest markets), than a dance track, which given her record, will only do well in the UK.
Get that smash.
She really could've gone with someone more interesting than Wayne to tag onto it though.
It is probably going to be in the same vein as J.Lo's Pitbull obsession. "Oh, I finally got a hit, let's repeat the formula". So it'll probably be a Motivation-esque sex jam.
Her music career always makes me a bit embarassed. I suppose she's reasonably successful but I'm never fully convinced by anything she does really.
Was there some reason she didn't release 'I'm Dat Chick' the last time around? Not that it would've *smashed* or anything, I just thought it sounded pretty commercial.
Don't mince words, don't be evasive, speak your mind, be persuasive.
What what what? How random. So she's trying for another R&B chart smash I bet.
Motivation was an amazing song, and unlike J.LO/Pitbull her and Wayne make magic together. The dance bullcrap is old right now, I'm glad to see a return to R&B and more urban stuff. I'm going to need a hot video, some amazing promo, and she'll be on the right track.
But we know she's going to do dance stuff. She can't afford to stick with a genre she is slightly successful in.
We do? Her biggest most recent hit in the US was a R&B track so what are you talking about? The dance trend is slowly dying it out, I'm sure we can all agree that it's reached it's saturation point. She does good dance music but she's at her best when she's making real R&B music so I hope she sticks to her guns.
The R&B 'success' is only in the US. Outside of it, she's been successful with dance tracks, so why would she stop doing them? People like Kelly need to grab as many chances that come their way, so it would be inimical to her if she didn't do dance and R&B like last year.
Okay? I don't care about her dance songs doing well overseas or wherever. She's needs to focus on her home country, where it matters. Are you from the UK? Then I guess I can see how you can't understand that being #1 on the R&B charts is an accomplishment in itself. She needs to stay on that path. Make great R&B music like Motivation and not generic ones like some of the tracks from her album. She's too talented/beautiful to be slept on.
The problem is that RnB has delivered Kelly precisely one hit lately and a string of flops before and after it. Abandoning the overseas market is a risky business when the US is so prone to abandoning her.
Release a double album. 1 dance. 1 RnB. 1 for Europe. 1 for America. Now slay me Rowlegend. *snaps fingers*
the last album had a good mixture of dancey tracks and urban tracks. i quite enjoyed it. but the quality of the tracks itself was not as good as it could've been ... but I'm ready, she always has 3,4 songs i really enjoy!

I prefer dance diva Kelly.
Considering the fact that her last megahit was a decade ago, a measly Top 10 is gold for the Rowldawgs.
"Motivation 2.0" snippet is here. I think it sounds hot!
