Rihanna was so lucky to have struck gold with the Good Girl Gone Bad album. It was such an unexpected album - I have no doubt that without it, she'd have been in the same boat as Christina.

I really disliked her relationship with the Dream, by the way. He has come up with some good songs, but watch an interview with him, and he is a slimy creep.

It's an interesting thought what would've happened to both Rihanna and Christina if she had accepted the SOS demo, especially as Def Jam seems to have focused on giving Rihanna big lead singles since then.

Remember Teairra Mari who was launched at the same time as Rihanna? That poor girl hasn't even been able to release a second album, while Rihanna now has six under her belt...
Leaving out hideous expressions like 'Kelendria' (who even is that?) would be a good start. - Someboy re: Kelly Rowland's birth name

Doesn't every artist/label at least attempt to have big lead singles though?

Yes, of course, but it's obvious that since then they've clearly had Rihanna as their main priority, while people like Teairra and Christina were pushed aside. There's no denying that SOS really did re-ignite Def Jam's interest in pushing Rihanna as a pop star as it proved she was more than a one-hit wonder and could front hit singles without giving them any star fits.

I just wonder what would've happened if Christina would've accepted the song and had a hit with it. Would Rihanna had been pushed so hard or would they have focused their energy on Christina and left Rihanna out in the cold? It's an interesting thought.

Funnily enough, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish just came on...

I love Christina. Dip It Low is like my anthem, my most played song too.

I'm loving all the Christina Milian love in this thread. Besides Dip It Low and Am To Pm, my favorite song of hers is some random leak from years ago called One Kiss. It still sounds just as fresh today.

I wonder, between her and Cassie, who's album will actually materialize first...
Party people crazy party wow wow wow

Us Against the World is amazing, makes me so sad that it wasn't a hit.

yeah right, they are kind of bff's if i'm correct, i can remember the pictures of them partying in ibiza ... i need them both in my life. they are so underrated. i would rather take a new casse and christina milian album than a new rihanna album.

Does anyone like Chameleon? I'm really late on that one, but I'm quite pleased that I discovered it! One of The-Dream's more eclectic songs.
