Banned from forum, banned from site?

So for whatever reason, I had been banned for insulting another member, which I don't recall doing. Banned until 19th June, but that's been lifted for whatever reason.

When I tried to access the site, I was banned from the whole site, not just the forum? Is that supposed to happen?

It's easily bypassed; just go on to a Private/Incognito tab.

But could we have some kind of system so that we know when the moderators ban someone please?

With this new forum, if you are banned, you can only access Popjustice.com and not anything else. Weird.

And when you clear your cookies you can access everything again.. until you log back in.

It sounds like you were momentarily logged in as someone else.
