We know literally just about nothing still so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Ke$ha said the only thing she cared about was that her album would ~change pop music~ so I'm sure it will do JUST THAT. REST ASSURED.

Also, Pretty Lady is absolute shit.
It's not jumping to conclusions though. Wayne Coyne has told fans that Ke$ha wanted to originally use all of their tracks together on the new album and that it's not likely now that his tracks with her are going to be on the album now that the direction of the album's production has changed, but she's still hoping to use one or two that she wrote with him. The Rolling Stone article even confirms him being a feature, as opposed to a main producer as a previous article confirmed months ago.

WooHoo was even being considered for the first single at one point in production, yet it somehow went from first potential single to being sold. It could end up being a great album and one Ke$ha wanted, but it's not the album she was working on a couple of months back; that we do know.

Yup, this is what I scared of aswell.

She wanted to make HER album, but obviously with compromises with her company, instead we'll probably just get a follow-up Dr. Luke generic-fest. It's a pity because I actually think there's alot to Kesha and alot of potential being a great artist...

She's stuck with a controlling company and she's also just on her second full album, which means she probably doesn't dare to say too much either.

This is Ke$ha though, so even if the album is a generic Luke-fest, then all Coyne the demos will inevitably leak.

Either way, this is Ke$ha, so whatever the material that we ultimately get is, it's going to be awesome.
Yeah because Lady Gaga is the only pop star of this generation to have an iconic anthematic song. California Gurls says hi. *Eye roll*

I think The Flaming Lips tracks will mostly be on the Deluxe version WHICH IS FINE.

As long as I can have them in some form I can make my own AH-MAZING Ke$ha-album.

Even if it's just "You Control My Heart" that's released....that track alone would already turn it into an amazing album for me.

You Control My Heart is the only one so far that's going to end up on the album as we know, but we don't know if it'll be on the standard or deluxe.

She did 5 tracks with them. They used one on their album ("2012") and the other four were going to go on her's, but now only one is looking to make it. If anything, hopefully they all leak.

this sounds a lot like the situation we had with britney and femme fatale to be honest...

anyway i'm just looking forward to new music and to supernatural in full. they should just make supernatural the lead single in my opinion! :)

Britney? The producer's puppet? Has she genuinely ever expressed any interest in really taking command in her work? Atleast Kesha is someone that is involved in song-writing (also to other artists).

It's not as if "Supernatural" sounds bad, but it's very uninspiring imo... it sounds like the rest on the radio now, Calvin Harris/Guetta-esque dance track with some break-down between chorus and verses (read We Found Love, Starships, Where Have You Been, Turn Up the Music etc.).

Pretty Lady is more the direction that I would have liked, I love that track and stuff like "The Harold Song"... a track which Dr. Luke has no involvement in.

I could totally see Kesha doing something a bit more left-field and out of the box. I've been listening alot to Ellie Goulding's "Bright Lights" lately, something in that field would totally fit Kesha... but it seems she'll be stuck with Luke's genericism for another album.

As long as Ammo or Bllboard takes care of some ballads it'll be fine.

I really, really need Ke$ha to work with Billboard more. That remix of Animal is just gorgeous.

I am so pumped for this album! I've been listening to the 100+ demos/unreleased songs again, she's really quite diverse and I absolutely adore The Last Boyfriend, it is getting hammered constantly at the moment. I hope we get news about the lead single soon.
*Girls Aloud* 2) Lady Gaga 3) Britney Spears 4) The Saturdays 5) Nicola Roberts 6) Cheryl Cole 7) Ke$ha 8) Dragonette 9) Wynter Gordon

That's somewhat promising at least right? (I'm choosing to ignored the dreaded S word being used.)

This is taking WAY longer than I expected... wasn't it first planned to be released during the spring? (atleast the lead single).

I REALLY hope this means we're in for a treat, and not that she was forced to scrap the original plan just to record more commercial stuff to please her company....

    Can't wait!

ONLY 5 songs? Get a move on, girl.

    Poor girl!
Hopefully we're getting a single SOON!!!

  15. #265
This really can't come soon enough.

  16. #266
    I love her handwriting.

  17. #267
Hopefully her album will be out before the end of the year, but at the rate she's going we might be waiting till 2013.

I'm betting October or November, with a single this month or early next. She's finished the album. Its getting mixed. She's done the album artwork photo shoot. Songs (or at least a song) has been played for a guy a Billboard who has also heard Xtina and Alicia Keys new singles. It looks like things are progressing.

  19. #269
I bet we hear the single before the end of the month. Definitely.

    Trust my bones!
Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

  20. #270
Please let it be Supernatural, I think I've raped the snippet so much I could have the police knocking on my door soon. But she shall slay whatever track it is

  21. #271
Supernatural needs to be on the album at least.

  22. #272
So, the album is definitely going to be released before the end of the year. Or at least, is planned to be. There is going to be no feature from Nicki Minaj or Missy Elliot though.

    Source??

Nicki Minaj & Missy Elliot initially planned to be on?? Gosh what a disaster... from the scrapped Wayne Coyne's sessions to Dr. Luke's house of generics with "rent a 1000 times before rented rapper" added on to make it even more generic... I hope Kesha shows some integrity on this one, but I have a bad feeling the direction has been totally changed to a complete commercial (and uninspiring) one from an original idea from herself (Coyne sessions) having a bit more left-field indie sound... thus this release being pushed for this long.

They (her label) is destroying all the potential there is in her (and I think there's alot actually)... hopefully they will get the commercial success they so desperately want so she'd be in a better position when album 3 comes to really do her own thing or swap label to someone offering more artistic freedom. When will labels learn that singles acts are never as good as album acts and it's more money in the latter?
