I have to say that having Loreen, Margaret and Agnes performing in the same stadium KILLED ME.
Pretty soon shit'll happen, what a wonderful world

Agnes is the best isn't she?

I love Agnes. She's like Leona Lewis with a personality.

    And good songs.

Awks. I thought Cascada would've done far better, but alas, even Bonnie and the Romanian vampire (don't get me wrong, he was amazing <3) did better.

    Basically. Italy guy was hot.

I really do like the Belgian and German tracks, though. I had them on a loop when I came home last night.

Yes! Glorious is great when it comes to generic Eurodance.

Also, Azerbajan have not been playing since they joined - thei lowest position was 8th on their first go and they've been in the top 5 ever since.

They have diaspora Turks and the former Soviet bloc. It's not surprising, just disappointing considering all of their entries have been abominable.

I will not have you shade Safura! This is one of my favourite ESC songs:

Oh Keifer, no, no, no. She's like one of those entitled high school brats who ask their daddies to buy them a Beyonce choreographer.

Yes, but at least she's actually good! Nice voice and great song.

It's not my cup of tea, to be honest, but I was put off by the smug look on her face. That said, I'd definitely have preferred that they'd won with Safura instead of that awful duet.

So some people have been accusing Denmark of ripping of this song.. I don't think it's that bad, but it's still a good excuse to share a pretty decent oldie..

I heard people talking about this on the radio. K-Otic better get them royalties!

Sounds quite similar in parts. Maybe they both sample some older song?

Also, they have managed to "persuade" Malta to give them 12 points in each of the last 4 years.

The bar I watched it in played a mash-up of Euphoria and Glorious about 5 minutes after the show ended - was amaaaazing!

And Russia, beautiful song but: "Why don't we all bury our gruns?" ...because you gave them to Syria, love.

They tend to get a lot of votes from all or at least most smaller nations, microstates and countries where the interest for Eurovision is very small. Eurovision news sites and European media has started to report on Azerbaijan possibly cheating:

    http://12points.tv/esc/item/1950-pro...-by-azerbaijan

I think Azerbaijan's entries of the past few years have been quite good. The songs are always modern pop songs, the popstars are always good-looking and pretty great singers and the staging is always pretty impressive. But the fact that they do so incredibly well each year does seem fishy indeed. When a song only 'OK' it should never be top 5 unless it's by Russia or Turkey.

In other news, my predictions were all really off this year except for Sweden's results where I guessed Robin end up 11th to 15th. I'm still not a big fan of the winning song, but if it becomes a chart hit around Europe it has done its job as a Eurovision winner should. "Euphoria" and "Satellite" also did. "Running Scared" didn't.

Having said that, this brand new Emmelie de Forest album track is quite incredible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23GIbtu5Snw

Oh, and I used to be a huge K-Otic fan when I was in my early teens so I'm surprised I hadn't thought of the "I Surrender" similarities earlier!

Safura is the only decent Azeri entry so far. The one they won with was shockingly bland.

I admit I liked Azerbaijan's Always, it was sort of an ear-bug. Not that it was great or anything. But they do have consisten high placing.
