LOL I Knew what that was before I clicked. Funny though. She was right in what she said though. No one actually listened to her.

I had no idea she was. Is she? I know people poke fun over elephants and watches and what have you, but it always seems good natured.

I'm not sure how people could hate her, personally (though there may be stuff I'm not aware of, of course). She seems so benign!

Yeah she is. People really hate her, death threats, hope she flops etc attitude, up herself comments. Yah...all zat jazz. I think she's lovely and harmless and actually knows her business and talks sense. Most think she's a diva/arrogant. I mean look at Mr Bieber's recent press conference. Now that was arrogance in motion. I think most UK folk don't really know what arrogance is, and often confuse confidence for it. Oh and the media love to shade her too, the Guardian, Telegraph and Daily Mail being the most obvious offenders.

All I know about her is that she has not the best fashion style and that her ex-footballer-boyfriend cheated on her. I don't even think I've ever heard a song of her....

She's not on on my most hated list, but I can see why people find her annoying. She speaks in a way that shows she's all too eager and like she knows loads about everything, but I reckon she doesn't know as much as she thinks she does. But, she's a refreshing change from pop dullards who have very little to say other than "amazing".
    It's = it is/it has. Its = its.

I think it's the fact shes very confident and her sense of humour maybe doesn't come across too well. I know quite a lot of people who dislike her but I think shes great.

Her stint as a guest judge on X-Factor was a real low point. It was awful.
Annie, if you're reading this...please know that I want your EP right now!

I thought she spoke sense on XF. Also she knows her business too. I simply think people just don't listen to her. Because if they did, their opinions would seem silly (ie she has no idea, when she clearly does, she does the job).

I kinda love it if she did X Factor again and just played up to this unbearable pantomime diva character others have written for her. It would be excellent television and let's face it - she's past winning people over to liking her.
There ain't a reason you and Misha B alone, tonight yeah baby, tonight yeah baby...

I would love that, more of the ok.com t-shirts please, if people are going to hate she may as well flaunt it.

LMAO true. It might even make people see sense, and see the real her rather than the image of her they have.

She's dark-skinned, sassy and confident. People don't accept that. I know people will start shouting 'RACE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS' but I honestly think it does. Dark-skinned women are only okay if being sassy is basically their career (as an actress / TV personality) or if they're demure. Look at Leona "too shy to talk" Lewis.

I might be touching a very sensitive issue here and I probably don't even know what I'm talking about because I'm white and I'm Dutch but this is just my impression and I'm not the stupidest guy so yeah, this is my opinion.

For me personally, it's that she has a great talent, amazing voice and potentially an amazing pop star but makes the most terrible, laughably bad music, and it's hard to like or respect someone who allows themselves to record such utter drivel. Apart from 'All night long' which is great.

I'd like to think people who dislike her don't do so because of her race. If so then what progress have we made over the past 50+ years??

That video is amazing, as is this quote from youtube: What is she talking about? Ok .com what utter rubbish. She is a very average talentless 'cruise line' singer who will, in the next few months, sink without a trace.com!!!!!

For me I just think she takes herself too seriously, I'm a fan of a few of her songs particularly her new single 'Let it Go' but she just seems too over the top and desperate for success. I don't think she's half as talented as she thinks she is either.... dotcom.

It's NOT because she's black. It's because she comes off as rude and arrogant.

  19. #19
I do feel that some of the hate towards her is racially motivated on some subconscious level. This country has always had a problem with outspoken black women in showbiz. Just because people aren't calling her racial slurs, doesn't mean it isn't part of the reason. It's part of an unfortunate stereotype that has been created. Re: black women in Big Brother.

I get a feeling that she's secretly shy and a worrier, but puts on an over-confident persona because she's insecure about her personality. People like this often come across as ingenuine in some way, but it's totally misunderstood. People can sense some kind of fakery from them, but don't know what it is and get the wrong end of the stick. If I'm right, she is being ingenuine, but in the most benign, innocent, sweetest way possible.

Also, she's intelligent, so less intelligent people don't understand her. (Fuck all you haterz, you're just simpletons).

    She's intelligent? Since when?

And are we talking Mensa-intellect, university-intellect or passed-all-your-GCSEs-intellect?

  22. #22
It's because she comes across too excitable in interviews. Now don't jump down my throat but that's what I think it is. She seems too desperate to be funny in interviews and people find it irritating.

...that and OK.com probably didn't help. KITTY >>>>>>ALEXANDRA
I've got a fist full of love that's coming your way

She's really goofy and cheesy, which I suppose most people will hate, but I find hilarious. As a person I quite like her, I wish there were more popstars like her, but maybe with better music and fewer rent-a-rappers.

I can just tell by the things she says. I know a fellow thinker when I see one.... you wouldn't understand ;)

That's what I meant. Trying to have this larger than life persona. I think she's actually naturally quiet and thoughtful.

SuckMyBean is talking a lot of sense.
