Shooting Star (EP) is out on May 15th. Announced on May 3rd. 4th Studio album is due around August. The EP is on his soundcloud just now to listen to..

What's everyones thoughts? I really like this guy. I don't normally like male vocalists too much, but his tone is lovely, as is his production.

Oh. This thing is still around.
Up is where we go from here.

Besides the fact that 'Fireflies' was a total rip-off of Postal Service's 'Such Great Heights', his homophobia turned me right off of even trying to get into his music.

Seriously? I had no idea he was homophobic. I'm slightly put off now. What happened?

He apparently doesn't license his music out to TV-shows that "promote the homosexual lifestyle".

Owl Shitty. His music is awful and dislike him even more now in light of these homophobia claims.
Party people crazy party wow wow wow

I had to search for a while but I found a screen-grab where he posted "extremely against abortion and gay rights" on Myspace. Quite shocked actually. What an idiot.

Funny that, because his music is so fluffy and happy.

This is too late, his last album was rubbish, I've never liked him personally, especially on the gay thing, the music isn't that bad

"Fireflies" was nice but the rest just doesn't work. His voice is sounds like any other voice with a bit of autotune.

I like his 4th album 'The Midsummer Station'. Shame about just reading about his homophobia.

Owl City is such a gay name. I expected him to be a shit version of Perfume Genius.

How can someone who records peppy electro tracks with one-hit-womanchild Carly Rae Jepsen and idolises Taylor Swift be homophobic? He ticks every big gay pop box. I blame Jesus

People are always talking about how homophobic he is, but I haven't found any proof for it online. Sure, people say he didn't give his music to certain TV shows because of them 'promoting a gay agenda' or whatever... but where are the receipts? Where are the TV executives saying this. It feels like the sequel to the "LAURYN HILL HATES WHITE PEOPLE!" rumour...

Yeah, I had a look online and it doesn't specifically say where or when.

God! I absolutely hate Carly Jepson and Taylor Swift, but I love sex with men.

Here are the receipts I found. Second result on google for "Owl City Homophobic".
