He's just gonna move to Silicon Valley.

Or turn out to be gay, which will enable Marnie and Hannah to reconnect now they share gay ex-boyfriend trauma.

On that subject, I hope they bring Elijah back. Great character.

That actor has left too, Anthony Cotton is replacing him.

I'd find this hilarious but I'm genuinely concerned about what storylines Lena and co are capable of now.

If you had to play Charlie, you'd probably want out too.

I was listening to a podcast not that long about the show, and the commentators suggested with the exception of Shosh, nearly all of these characters would probably live happier lives outside of New York. It's so true. And it's not for nothing that most successful person we've seen in this show's version of New York was an actual doctor, a profession which requires massive dedication and hard work.
    Meet your new stepmom, kid.

"Tiny Furniture" was finally shown again on Film4 over the weekend (I missed it by a day last time). I really enjoyed it. It's weird watching it after Girls because of familiar faces, scenarios, attitudes etc. Proto-Hannah, proto-Jessa, proto-Adam. None of them put anything different into the characters in the film than they did into the TV series, it certainly makes them seem rather...limited as actors. I wish Aura's 'mom' was in Girls though instead of the one she has.

FUN FACT : Aura's mom is actually Lena Dunham's mom.

I'm sure she'll turn up at some point.

Also, Becky Ann Baker is flawless in everything she does so I'm glad she's on a major TV show again.

I've been advised time and time again to get into this, but from everything online the second season is a bit bleak and dark. This is a comedy though, right?
"You are going to walk into that school and strut your shit like everything is peachy fucking keen."

The second season, save 1-2 episodes, was a hot mess and it'll probably take me 5-10 years to get round to watching it in its entirety again.

The first season is amazing though so watch it!

Oh that's weird - I saw Grace Dunham in the opening credits, and assumed that was the woman playing her mother, but then at the end realised it was the girl playing her sister. But I didn't twig that Laurie Simmons was mother to both of them.

Ridiculous that that whole film was made on a £1300 DSLR camera.

Watch Charlie steal Hannah's buttplug and die in a pool of his own diarrhea, leaving Ray and Marnie as co-proprietors of his business empire.

I've decided season 2 was a disaster through and through. This cover suits it.

Can someone sum up what was wrong with season two for me, because I really don't understand the hate for it. I thought it was a much more interesting watch, even if everyone was unlikable and no one went anywhere (which was my problem with season one too).
Well this is just jolly isn\'t it?

Too many wanky Hannah-centric fantasy episodes. And nobody gave a shit about the OCD storyline and Hannah pissing everywhere and sticking cotton buds in her ear. In short, I hate Hannah.

A very neat and truthful summary.

I didn't hate Hannah originally, but season 2 Hannah really was awful in every way.
