I'm listening to the new album now. It's not electro pop like Une Enfant du Siècle. I guess nothing was going to match that masterpiece. However so far so good.
Ugh completely forgot about this! If it's all like A Cause de l'Automne, I'm guessing it'll be hit-and-miss with me. Still going to give it a spin, though.
Is pop just Popjustice?
Mon Chevalier is a really beautiful song. There's a few stand out tracks on there. I read that she worked with BB Brunes and you can really tell on some of the tracks. It's got quite a summer sound throughout. But I really really miss the dreamy electo that was Une Enfant du Siècle. I would have liked her to work with Chateau Marmount again.
I never sat down and listened to Enfant in full. I just couldn't stand her singing in English on the single. Maybe I'll try it out.
On the new album, I like Je Veux Bien, Boxing Club, and Happy End after just one run-through. I tend to go into background-listening mode with this one and don't really differentiate the songs. It's good enough for music that's generally not my genre. I did really like BB Brunes' latest album though.

Uhm..
I don't dislike it, but I'm not sold.
It lacks the dreamy atmosphere her last album had.
Is it going to be a total trainwreck as Une enfant du siècle chart-wise or not? I really have no idea how it's going for her.
Of course it's not going to go anywhere, this is Alizee. Which is a real shame.
I had no idea the album was even out. I'll have to give it a listen.
Une enfant du siècle entered the French Albums Chart at #24 on 3 April 2010. In its second week, it dropped to #69, spending only 2 weeks in the top 100 and 6 weeks in the top 200, it also peaked at #13 on the digital chart but only spent 1 week in the top 50.
Wikipedia says so.
Has she made any TV apparences for this album or her last one? I want to see if she still delivers the weirdest and most random dance moves in euro-pop.*
I'm a bit disappointed in the album in the sense that it's not nearly as brilliant as most her previous stuff, but it's still brilliant compared to most other artists out there today. Especially French artists. "Boxing Club" and "Si Tu Es Un Homme" are my favourites so far. The slow tracks are a bit boring but I can live with that.
One of the best albums released this year so far. Definitely.
*Except Robyn, of course.

this show is really popular in France..
All the presenters for shows in France seem to be old white men.
