Don\'t know what to make of MAMA. Started off well, really interesting concept. Then in typical SM fashion degenerated into dancing in front of different backdrops. I don\'t find the dancing engaging, or any of the members in K really interesting, or the song to be particularly good. ill give it more listens though.

Edit: Wow, that phoenix effect was amazing. Guy with \"tattoos\" on his face was scary.! I like the chanting bits. I guess I\'m impressed!

Welcome Reductive! I was hoping we were going to get some new K-poppers!

MAMA...not too sure what to make of it yet. Firstly the opening is a load of bull, just get to the damn music! Secondly the beat goes HARD (good thing). Thirdly it\'s full of recycled SM concepts, we\'re not really getting anything new with EXO are we, and over the top is an understatement.

Still, it\'s a nice package so I\'ll give it more plays.

BIG BANG who? SHINee who? I LOVE the video. Best MV of the year so far. I love the choreo. And of course D.O steals the show in the EXO-K MV. But I love everyone in K & M. I cannot wait to see each group perform MAMA live. They will be breaking records soon enough I am sure. And soon everyone will see the light when it comes to EXO.

MAMA is not a good song. It\'s not going to become a hit outside of their pre-existing fanbase. I suppose they will be like SHINee and rely completely on their fanbase, since they lack any appeal to the general public. SNSD (and f(x), t0 an extent) are really the only groups from SM that have managed to break free from that and find mainstream success.

The MV, total rubbish. I see what they\'re going for but it\'s been done time and time again. And done better. I wish SM would quit with the recycling.

I want to like EXO. They\'re all amazing performers, but they\'re basically given TXVQ and SHINee rejects. SM isn\'t even trying to create an individual music style for them.

I\'ll just continue to freak out about T-ara in my own little corner.

Haha thanks! It was actually the popjustice forums that introduced me to K-pop back in August (although I still only listen to a few bands).

EXO started training at the age of 11-12. Anyway MAMA is so good. The song is no SHINEE reject at all. It could totally have been TVXQ\'s comeback track! It was written by Yoo Young Jin thus the similarities of TVXQ and DBSK.

But i do find it weird that SM didn\'t manage to find a non- Yoo Young Jin title track because they were having music camps in Norway, Sweden, etc just to look for EXO\'s debut track.

More EXO is the only thing that will make me feel better about still not having the subforum. Or news about BEAST or a 2PM comeback. And EXO really is the best debut of the century hakkangin, really of all time! They are already this good and they just debuted. Some have been training for a long time but others haven\'t. There was a chart out there with the year all of them became trainees but I can\'t find it.

And everyone is Nu\'EST is so young except for Aron who is 18, he\'s the oldest. My NU\'EST love went down considerably though when BtoB\'s Imagine and Insane came out. So new boy group 2012 wise it is 1) EXO (by a very large margin) 2) BtoB 3) NU\'EST

EXO are flawless. MAMA is easily the best debut of 2012 and nothing comes close. The song is brilliant, and is everything great about BoA\'s Peace:B, Suju\'s Don\'t Don and TVXQ\'s Tri-angle all mixed together. The video is SM\'s best ever as well and the dancing is great. I watched their showcase as well and the members seem really nice. Suho is my favourite.

I\'m not surprised most of you guys don\'t like it though haha. I guess it\'ll be just Imnotshy and I stanning hard for their flawlessness.
