WELL! That was a shock, I was expecting Tyler. Such an anti-climax though, Leanne couldn't believe it and then nothing, no final song, no word of the single. Nothing.

Well I can't really say I'm surprised, but I am a bit disappointed. Leanne's a lovely girl I'm sure, but it's Leona all over again isn't it? Girl with little personality and big voice who know one really knows what to do with.
Would've preferred Vince to have won. But oh well, enjoyed the show for what it was. Changes needed to series 2 though.

I am ecstatic Leanne won! She is lovely and amazing. Literally one song won it for her, if not fo Run To You, Ruth would've been in the final.
I do think that as far as it being all about The Voice is concerned, Leanne was the right choice, but the other three would have been infinitely more marketable. She seems lovely, and is obviously talented but I doubt we'll see more than one single from her.
I've watched this show very very sporadically, but Bo was always my stand out. To me, 'the voice' shouldn't be about the biggest belters out there, but rather the most interesting voices that would sound great on a record. Well UK public you've done it again, gave us another unmarketable singing contest winner.

Well, I said just before the results that whether she wins or not (and I didn't expect her to at all), Leanne had won the night when it came to singing. If this is 'the Voice', then she was it. Run To You was fucking amazing once again, as was It's A Man's World. I don't think she needed to win though, and her career trajectory is going to be much the same as if she didn't.
Personally I was rooting for Vince, but Jessie has just completely ruined him. Poor first song choice, ridiculous 'N- n- n- no' douchebag battle at the end of Nobody's Perfect, and general encouragement to make his singing far more frilly than need be. It's frustrating because I do like Jessie, and she's got an amazing voice, but she's just offloaded all of her bad singing habits without improving him as a singer or an artist at all.

Yeah, that's exactly right. I really liked him when he appeared, and frankly I blame Jessie for week after week of disappointing performances. I don't care if she was right when she says that every element of them was crafted by him - in that case he needed taking by the hand (and/or giving a slap) and to be given stronger direction. Thankful that Tyler didn't win. I was worried for a second there. I'm kind of glad it's over though.
I'm really happy for Leanne in a 'that's really a good title when going round the circuit professionally' way. I hate to be cynical but I can't see The Voice producing winners any better than X Factor. Having said that maybe Universal will put in a bit more effort than Sony.
