But nothing worthy of being released had been recorded by then. Wasn't Let It Go only recorded a short while before it was released? Even after Elephant had premiered? In the years between Overcome and now, there was obviously very little quality material recorded. No wonder Syco passed her onto another label to deal with this campaign, they obviously couldn't be bothered with the hassle of trying to organise an album campaign based on such shitty material.

What I don't understand is after the success of Overcome Alexandra was clearly a pop star with huge appeal, so why not hook her up with the same kind of producer? How do you go from RedOne, Jim Jonsin & Rico Love, etc to the parade of no names on Heartbreak on Hold? It's her A&R team's fault.

Wasn't sure where to post this. Strangely, the album thread has been closed.

Alex just confirmed during her Ask Alex session on twitter that she is currently working on a US album and she is working with Rico Love on it. Plans are to be announced towards the end of the year. I hope things can work out for her, although I'm not sure where she would get the funding/backing when her own label doesn't give a crap about her.

Also she just mentioned that we'll hear Show Off with Swizz Beats as it will soon be "her song." Interesting.
