So 10 are most certainly poptastic and exciting, three are potentially poptastic and exciting, five are completely unknown (although some of the songwriters are known to be good), three will hopefully fill the good comedy value without going DTG, and the rest will probably be absolutely shit.

If the rumoured artists are correct, that is.

I must say I'm the most excited for a "modern up-tempo" by Charlotte Perrelli. Her + Kempe = single of 2012. The aspect of Hanna Lindblad (AMAZING) singing a Linda Sundblad (AMAZING) and Tony Nilsson (AMAZING) song will also be very good. Hopefully it'll be a new "Back In Time"/"Seratonin" with an electro beat. I'd definitely vote for that.

Oh, and of course RedOne and Love Generation has proven to be an amazing formula this far. And Youngblood! A "hunky, good looking boyband who can sing" sounds like a project I'd root for. Could this be the first properly amazing Swedish boyband since SAFE?

Kudos to Danny for doing an Eric by trying 2 years in a row, he probably stands a chance of winning this year. I'd also like to know which artist is fronting the Linda Sundblad song, she's generally incredible from start to end and her pop tracks never disappoint.

Apparently, Aftonbladet has found out the names of the other artists, however the only of note are:

Which: Yay for Loreen with a G:Son track! Also, if we can't have Alcazar, Andreas will have to do. We have a bunch of artists that promise amazingness, in fact I may never have known so many of the artists before the contest starts. It might mean that I have been watching it for long enough to know who is who, but it still sounds pretty fab. If this is true, we have a rather fab lineup this year...

That means In the end we may have on the amazing side:

Thoughts on the new artists:

1) I know I should be excited about Charlotte and everything but the first thought I had when I saw who the artists were was: NO MÅNS!

2) Heat 3 would be bloody boring if it wasn't for the GIRLBAND/BOYBAND battle between Love Generation and Youngblood. It's Popstars: The Rivals all over again!

3) Andreas Johnson? Again? Really? Whose idea was this?

4) I already know that the Christer & Lotta duet will be extremely cheesy in a brilliant way and that I will love it. My schlager loving mum will too, FYI.

5) NO MÅNS? SERIOUSLY! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?

6) The fact that the Lisa Miskovsky song is last in Heat 4 (although I suppose that the running order perhaps isn't set in stone?) suggests that it's really strong, which is worrying since I need both Danny and Charlotte to go DTG.

7) I already hate the Axel Algmark song.

8) Please remind me in January that I need to bet big money that "I mina drömmar" will come dead last.

9) NO MÅNS! He has hinted all year that he was going to participate. I really needed him to stop that Allsång nonsense and save the planet with another "Cara Mia". I'm so upset about this. It's not even funny.

10) I've already listened 24 times to the Youngblood single according to my Last.fm and I love it. I'm getting really excited at the prospect of having a Swedish One Direction.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere online that Christer announced the names of the songs in each heat in alphabetical order, as they had not set the running order yet. So, fingers crossed! We can't have Charlotte at position 6 in heat 4... look what happened to Linda B last year......

Anyone else a bit 'meh' about Charlotte coming back so soon? I just fear it's going to be another Carola '08 debacle all over again. However, I can't help but that think that La Perelli is getting special treatment again by going in heat 4, I'll stand by my comment more if she gets position 8 again.

Overall quite pleased with the line up this year. Oddly I think I'm most looking forward to Afro-Dite, which usually means their song is going to disappoint me. Mans' loyalities are going to be tested in Heat 1 aren't they, what with Loreen and Marie fighting it out.

Yay for Timoteij, Afro-Dite, Danny, Sonja, Love Gen, Loreen, Hannah Lindblad, and Marie.

Interested to hear the other guy from EMD#s song along with Andreas for Alcazar and Charlotte's.
