I suck at making lists, but Take Me To Your Heaven and Diva would definitely be in my top three.
crumbs....just 3?? Doing this by decade would be easier but all the same....
1. Nocturne - Norway 1995
2. Eres tu - Spain 1973
3. Taken by a stranger - Germany 2011
Waterloo notwithstanding, I'd pick:
Euroband - This is My Life
Charlotte Perelli - Hero
Hera Bjork - Je Ne Sais Quoi
1 - One Step Further - Bardo - by a mile. I have a silver BPI award disc of it sitting above my PC
2 - I'm Never Giving Up - Sweet Dreams
3 - Making Your Mind Up - Bucks Fizz
I also loved "Fly On The Wings Of Love". Was it The Olssen Brothers? And "Love Games" by Belle And The Devotions. I thought our Eurovision output hit the fan after that one, possibly excepting "Go".
1. Marie Myriam - L'Oiseau Et L'Enfant
2. Lynsey De Paul & Mark Moran - Rock Bottom
3. Telex - Eurovision
A first place, a second place and a last place.
Dana International - Diva
Teach In - Ding A Dong
Gina G - Ooh Aah... Just A little Bit
For ever and ever?
1. Lena - Taken By A Stranger [Germany 2011]
2. Las Ketchup Un Bloody Mary [Spain 2006]
3. Paula Seling & Ovi - Playing With Fire [Romania 2010]
Honourable mentions to
Verka Serduchka - Dancing [Ukraine 2007]
No Angels - Disappear [Germany 2008]
'Et s'il Fallait le Faire' - Patricia Kaas
'La Noche Es Para Mi' - Soraya Arnelas
'What About My Dreams' - Kati Wolf
I'm so updating mine. Fuck nostalgia:Originally Posted by duckface

I only really know 21st century Eurovision so bear with me. Strangely, all of my all-time favorites are either winners or hilariously retarded entries.
Winner top 3:
Helena Paparizou - My Number One (Greece 2005)
Alexander Rybak - Fairytale (Norway 2009)
Lena - Satellite (Germany 2010)
Also Waterloo by ABBA, but I obviously knew it way before I knew what Eurovision was so I find it hard to associate both things.
Hilarious top 3:
Sylvia Night - Congratulations (Iceland 2006)
XXL - 100% te ljubam (Macedonia 2000)
Verka Serduchka - Dancing Lasha Tumbai (Ukraine 2007)
the Russian babushkas of this year are so knocking Verka Serduchka out of that top 3 though.

HELLO! IS IT GOD?? WHAT'S UP DAWG. IT'S ME, SYLVIA NIGHT, YOUR FAVORITE PERSON IN THE WORLD. I'M SAVING THE WORLD. SEE YOU BYE!!!!
After years of lurking in this forum, the redesign finally allowed me to register! (Hello, denizens of the PJ Forum) Here's my top three from a naive American who first watched Eurovision in 2006.
3. Mor ve Otesi - Deli
2. Hera Bjork - Je Ne Sais Quoi
1. Yohanna - Is It True?
Picking three is hard, and if you asked me tomorrow I'd probably have a totally different answer.
Welcome, PopfanSF! Always a good thing to have some more Eurovision fans around!
My favourits :)
1. Helena Paparizou - My Number One
2. Ruslana - Wild Dances
3. Yohanna - Is It True
1. Bardo, One Step Further
2. Gina G, Ooh Aah Just A Little Bit
3. Belle and The Devotions, Love Games.
Started watching in 2003, so I'm sure I'm missing many.
t.A.T.u. - Ne Ver, Ne Boisia
Kejsi Tola - Carry Me In Your Dreams
Lena - Taken By A Stranger
other:
Hadise - Dum Tek Tek
Yohanna - Is It True?
Hera, Dana...
Ooh, I may have to update mine as well, with a third place for
Elitsa & Stojan - Voda (Bulgaria '07): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hy-uDkT5CI
I'm a huge fan of the kind of Bulgarian folk music that Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares performs, but initially I guess I was hesitant to accept mixing those otherworldly melodies with some Juno Reactor type of beats -- but now I'm convinced it worked out great!
Has everybody forgotten the uber-amazingness of Urban Symphony's Randajad and Sebastien Tellier's Divine?
Oh, I love Urban Symphony's.
I never voted!
Top 3 of Obvious:
Ooh Aah Just A Little Bit (one of the few modern Eurovision songs to become a hit here in America)
Every Way That I Can
Je T'Adore
Top 3 of Less Obvious:
Is Always Over Now - Dawn Martin
La Det Swinge - Bobbysocks
Det Börjar Verka Kärlek, Banne Mig - Claes-Göran Hederström
Well, and of course Euphoria.
Well I kind of have two lists
Best songs (based on those that remind me most of all the Eurovision fun over the years)
Let it Swing - bobby socks,
Better the devil you know -Sonia (robbed of victory!)
Love Shine A Light - Katrina
Used to love all the early 90s close EurovisiOn battles between us and Ireland.
Best 3 songs
Shady Lady - Ani lorak
Popular - Eric Saade
Lonely Symphony - Frances Ruffele
Every Way That I Can
Oooh Ahh
Just Get Out Of My Life (I can't believe this didn't quality either... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pNMuqCV-YY )
1. Helena Paparizou - My number one. (Winner 2005.)
2. Loreen - Euphoria. (Winner 2012.)
3. Antique - Die for you. (Third 2001.)
