Yeah, I thought it was the case. Thanks.
I was pretty shocked by Norway's placing. Funny that Euphoria and Stay share the same producer, 1st and last place.
Wow! I am flabbergasted. I never thought a Eurovision song - let alone a non-UK one - would ever do so well again!
Maybe this will open the BBC's eyes about putting some fucking effort in next time. Of course we'll send a rip-off of something nobody's interested in anymore.
God, I never thought this would happen. Loreen, our Loreen UK chart Queen. I hope she is huge - the first true contemporary star Eurovision has produced in years. Flop Lena.
Exactly! Tooji better still release his album.. along with Rapture it's amongst my most anticipated of the year. His song was amazing pop, and the performance was very well put together - I can't put my finger on what went wrong. [/Tooji stan]
"“What on earth happened?” Tooji wondered to NRK when it was all over. “Europe clearly doesn’t like me.”"

Well the performance was a little off and there were other uptempos that were performed much better.
It definitely didn't deserve to finish last though. Looks like Loreen stole all the Nordic votes as Iceland and Denmark underperformed badly too.
I can't help but wonder how Danny is feeling about rejecting Euphoria now.

I imagined him having a strop wherever he was when he found out she had won. And running away like he did in Globen.
I'm also massively shocked (although not at all surprised, sadly) by the talk of members of the Norwegian press delegation being harassed and detained by Azerbaijani officials at the airport.

I like Stay quite a bit, and it did not deserve last place at all. But Tooji I think can be perceived as a tad obnoxious (two of my friends who were watching with him totally hated him, almost as much as Albania); it's not the poor lad's fault, though. Maybe he looks too confident? Haha, I don't know.
I loved that Loreen looked drunk/high during the voting, bless her.
I've heard Euphoria is no.20 on Australian ITunes - is Eurovision quite popular over there then??
Loreen is on Captial FM now and they are playing Euphoria.
Just wow.
Ok so Loreen is number 1 on the UK iTunes chart but is nowhere on the Official Top 40... How does that work?
The chart stopped counting at midnight this morning. All sales from then on go to next week's chart.
So happy for Loreen!! This was such an exciting year to get into Eurovision!! Hope next year has at least one song as good as Euphoria, haha.
Thanks for clearing that up.
My friend was calling me a liar as he was listening to the official top 40.
Tooji is #149 on UK iTunes, Success ££££!!!

We still have a while to the end of the week - do you think momentum will carry forward or will it be a case of all the sales are front loaded and we could be looking at a #12 come Sunday?
How its all changed from the days when Dana International won and it took 3-4 weeks for the song to be launched in the UK (though to be fair they did have to record an english version)
It looks like Rudimental might overtake #1, but she's pretty much guaranteed top 5 if it stays fairly solid. Now it's a matter of getting radio to play it.

Loreen takes to the roof of a cinema in Stockholm to perform "Euphoria" for her adoring public, broadcast live on Swedish TV. Fabulous vocal, as always. What else can be said about this woman by now?
Clip here.
Also, I'm cracking up at all the Internet commenters who are saying that "Euphoria" is a ripoff of "Stole My Heart" by One Direction. CRACKING. UP.

The Eurovision 2012 rate thingy is currently going on Lists & Charts, specifically this thread. It admittedly looks a tad redundant with PJ 12 Points having happened so recently but it's quite different and it would be nice if I could get all the people who participated in the 2011 rate to join in!
The ESC-related entries in the German charts are as follows:
Loreen - Euphoria #1
Ivi Adamou - La La Love #43
Buranovskie Babushki - Party For Everybody #44
Soluna - Should've Known Better #51
Jedward - Waterline #62
Eleftheria Eleftheriou - Aphrodisiac #77
Mandinga - Zaleilah #92
And the Roman Lob - Standing Still rose from 39 to 11.
We didn't even give any points to Cyprus and Romania, so their entry is quite surprising.
