I just wanted to say somewhere how shit Play.com are. Failed to dispatch 5 pre-orders before release date in the last fortnight so they come 2-3 days after release date. Whoever says they always deliver before release date lies! I'm gutted I wont have the Garbage or Niki & The Dove albums this weekend (for example). I'm stopping using them at once and going back to HMV, regardless of Play's slipcases and badges.

They've been taken over by a new parent company, I think, which could explain the recent change to a poorer service re: pre-orders.

I only use them occasionally these days for the odd sale CD or download ( I caved and got the Stephen Duffy deluxe download A Beautiful Collection on there recently).

HMV are no better now Anfunny - I got MDNA and Electra Heart on the Monday rather than before the release date on the weekend.

HMV very rarely let me down, except with CD singles, which usually never dispatch until the actual day of release, sometimes as much as a week later. I'm STILL waiting for this week's new releases from play.com (Gossip, Garbage, Niki & The Dove), all of which have been on the high street since Monday. I hate them. Back to HMV for next week's releases!

It's 'Young, Free & Happy', which is one of the poorer songs on the album, but will be interested in hearing the radio edit.

I love this album an awful, awful lot, though I only got it a year or two ago. (I bought her first album and the singles from her second at the time, then apparently lost interest). Her latest album was amazing too.

I never heard anything by her besides Come Along and it's follow-up, but it's one (of many) I found for a euro at a 2nd hand market, so worth the risk there! (have yet to properly listen to it though)

Just bought the 2CD version of Amy MacDonalds 'This Is The Life' plus the single for 'Don't Tell Me That It's Over' purely for the b-side.

Also got the french edition of I Dreams 'Welcome To Avalon Heights' where bizarrely, they're called D.R.E.A.M.

***FAO for anyone who's bought the 2CD Loveless reissue thus far***

There is a major defect on Track 10 on the first disc. 2 min 47 sec into the song, there's a pretty bad case of data error, or a sonic blip, it's about a couple of seconds long but it sounds like the equivalent of pixellation and interference on a digital TV picture.

Not sure what will happen about it, as it's been picked up on by some amazon customers already, so perhaps there will be some kind of recall or replacement situation in response. But, maybe not. All I know is my copy's going back to HMV.
