I'm really, really baffled over why Japanese issues of albums often have the most and the best bonus tracks.
Especially when it comes to artists that can't be big in Japan. Like Hot Chip and their new album.
Marvin's Room by Drake is such a devastatingly perfect song.
The Disney Girls.
Correct.
Connie's version of 'I Will Wait For You' was used.
That's a pretty apt description of her, Kamikaze (Katy's whipcream tits aside). From what I recall, Connie had horrifying experiences with mismanagement, the mafia killing her brother and her being raped. After her hits, she became more remembered for her tragic life than her music. (And after looking at wikipedia, I see Connie was getting more than a little shady towards Gloria Estefan for apparently 'fucking up' the production of her biopic? Huh.)
Er...

I've only ever cried at one song, and that was more to do with events surrounding it than the song itself.
The Janines...
The only time I've ever cried to a song was right after a breakup. The song was Where Are You Now by Britney Spears.
I know.
Party people crazy party wow wow wow
The Loving Kind and Untouchable by Girls Aloud.
Don't question why.
This explanation makes more sense than anything else I've heard.
Are these the hippest albums to ever top the Billboard album chart in two back-to-back weeks? | last.fm
Only Annie could get me excited about an obscure Norwegian film.
Annie, if you're reading this...please know that I want your EP right now!
'Payphone' is one of the best songs of the year.
However, the fact that a 'Payphone Tribute' is clogging up the UK iTunes chart at Number 3 is mind-baffling!
Completely stupid management from Marroon 5's end, and even more stupid purchasing from the British public. It's nice to see people getting excited about music, but considering this 'tribute' is selling more than half of what 'Call My Name' (currently at No. 1) is at the moment, it literally must be selling thousands!
I've never bought too much into this whole 'Flop UK' thing, but even I'll admit that this is really fucking weird.
'I used to run base like Juan Pierre,
Now I run the bass, hi hat and Ensnare.'
Doing It Wrong is even sadder.

You would, since they are three times as good as either of those bands anyway.
But seriously, Garbage are way darker or edgier than either (or they used to be) both in lyrics and in music. Though they're really poppy sometimes, so I think you will like them, honestly. Start with Version 2.0 (their masterpiece), than listen to the rest chronologically. That's how I did it and they became one of my favorite bands of all time.
A friend has given me a crash course in Lil' Kim over the past few days and I can safely say she's amazing now.
I never really cry. The only songs that can make me well up are those with strong nostalgic attachments to my childhood. If songs don't take me to a time or place they don't do anything for me. I relate much more to TV/film in terms of emotional attachment.
E.g: Lost/Titanic/Inception etc. - have a strong emotional impact. Pokemon/Digimon etc - nostalgia. Music - nostalgia.
And to add to the Pokemon childhood scarring: that episode when they were all trapped in that blizzard and Ash's Pokemon chose to be with him instead of being in their warm Pokeballs.
The leap in quality between Thank Me Later and Take Care is jaw-dropping. The artist he's 'matured' into is certainly one I appreciate much more. I hate all these people who fail to recognize that male expression of emotion is not indicative of 'a pussy' but someone who has feelings too (blah blah blah) and we should value a bit of honesty. Or at least that's how my narrow, naive eyes see it.
Her flow is actually insane. Her newer material is rather worthless but 'it is what it is' [/evelynlozada].

Not a fan of Kim, Mollie?!
Nope, I'll stick with Lisa Left Eye for female rappers and Nicki Minaj when it's Swift approved.
This interview with Nicki Minaj was interesting when the subject of Drake is brought up, he's called 'A pretty albino girl'. It's ridiculous that he gets a hard time for singing/emoting in his music, as opposed to upholding the jaded cliché's of hip hop in the preferred sexist, crass manner.
Just another reason why the 'rap game' is messed up.
