Absolutely love the title track, its gorgeous, sometimes Cheryls voice can grate on me in ballads but this is stunning!

Last One Standing is SO GOOD. Now that's how you do an empowerment anthem! I wish it was on the standard version.

I like it, but I don't agree with those who think it should be a single. It reminds me of something Rita Ora or Tulisa would release and I think Cheryl is worth more than that to be honest. I can totally understand why they chose a very generic, dancey track for the lead single and it's obviously worked out brilliantly, but I think she should show some diversity with the follow-up singles. There's a lot more to this album than that, and a lot better songs than Sexy Den A Mutha.

Another of the dozens of improvements since she got the new management.

'Teddy Bear' is fucking lush and is the ballad hit Cheryl is in need of - perfect for a saturday afternoon drive out.
This is my life, my friend.

It's a bit too saccharine for me to be honest, as is Mechanics of the Heart, but they're both still better than most of her other ballads to date. I really like Telescope though and I love A Million Lights.

    Am I making sense?
I totally agree with this! Even when I sing along to it, I always just end up singing it higher than it should be, because it seems like it was meant to be sung high but it builds up massively and then the vocals just drop back down.

Listened to it from beginning to end today and I’m pleasantly surprised. It's much more solid and consistent than I was expecting and the production is amazing. There aren’t any unbelievably shit tracks like 'Let's Get Down' and they go beyond being just basic. It’s not a ground breaking album but it’s good at what it is, a good set of pop tunes.

    THANK GOD SOMEBODY GETS ME!
This song would be so much better with them higher higher vocals, maybe Cheryl couldn't pull them off?
Either way, them high vocals should be there on the chorus, i demand somebody record them over the track and i will repay them with various issues of Top Of The Pops magazines from around 2004-2007 crumpled up under my bed somewhere ;)

Cheryl has said she prefers singing in her lower register because that's where she is more comfortable. For me personally, her lower register is much nicer to listen to anyway. Her singing higher wouldn't be as enjoyable I don't think.

I've now listened all the way through this album...I'm super impressed.

My favourite tracks on first listen are Under The Sun, Call My Name, Love Killer, Sexy Den A Mutha, Last One Standing and Telescope.

    PREACH! Same with 'One Thousand'!

Last One Standing would have been single material if it was on the Standard.

What do people think the chances are of there being another London date? All the good seats for the O2 are gone now....

She can't add a date the day before or two days after, so wondering if she'd play another London venue?
