Balance dad mysterious.
The latest episode was so boring, the ~revelation~ at the end was SO OBVIOUS. And it only featured like 1 minute of my precious, flawless Daenerys. People should worship her dragons and let her sit on her rightful throne.
I adored Daenerys by the end of the first season, but season two has ruined her for my lately. For all her grand, blustery speeches about taking what is hers, she hasn't actually done anything.
Cersei is my favourite. In fact, I adore all the Lannisters (minus Joffrey, obviously).

To be fair, Dany doesn't do a lot in the book. There's a massive moment/sequence in the next two episodes though that'll be 'wow'!
While the show is usually much better than the books, this week was the first time I didn't like a change: In the books Cately frees Jamie after she hears about Bran and Rickon dying. In the series it didn't really make that much sense and it wouldn't have been much work to do the book version of events.

I've never been a fan of her but drunk Cerci>>>>>>>>>>>>
This weeks episode was incredible.
AMAZING FINALE!
Daenerys in all her glory.
And holy shit that ending.

Urgh, the site I use is taking ages to post it up. C'MON!
The last two episodes were completely amazing. Daenerys is epic, I got a bit sad when she saw Drogo and the baby!
Last episode was great.
Couple of questions:
- Who were those marching on the wall? The folks Jon Snow is with?
- How did Daenerys get out of the magical tower thing?
Just finished watching this and it really blew me away. It just felt epic in a way no other TV series has for years. It's good to see that someone is making a show on this scale with high production values again as everything since Lost has just felt a bit low-budget. I struggled a bit with this show in the beginning but as soon as Sean Bean and the fat king were killed off, everything picked up and it went from strength to strength.
Cersei is easily my favourite character. The way she outmaneuvers every other character and waits for the right moment to strike is just amazing to watch. The scene where Littlefinger told her "knowledge is power" and she put him in his place, responding "Power is Power" was pure gold and summed up her character perfectly. Lena Headey was born to play this role and she does it to perfection.
I don't really get the love for Daenerys. She may be hot but she has been a bit of a blonde bimbo up to this point. She trusted a witch that made her husband sick then repeated the same mistake which resulted in her baby being killed. I'm sure it's all part of her journey but I'm bored of her stamping her feet, demanding ships and claiming her people are waiting for her to claim her throne. The only interesting part of her storyline has been the dragons and her relationship with Mormont who acts her off the screen.
The biggest strength of the show is that there are so many storylines and sub-plots to follow so nothing ever drags out. Next season is clearly going to be about the White Walkers although I was disappointed in the CGI graphics when you finally saw them. Instead of being terrifying, they looked like the villain from The Mummy which is not a good thing. It's only a minor storyline but I'm more intrigued to see what Arya does with the coin Jaqen H'ghar gave her. I absolutely loved that character and the way he killed Arya's targets to repay his debt to her. The final scene where he changed his face was amazing. I really want to know more about his character and what his part is in all this. The only downside is that they probably won't use the same actor again now that his face has changed and he made that role.
It may have some faults but it is still the best thing on TV at the moment and I can't wait for season 3.

2013 - Year Of The Beyonce.
The man at the end wasn't Jaqen. And the change isn't permanent. Jaqen and whoever that guy was are some magical type guys who serve that God (can't remember the god, the Faceless God? the nameless God?) who is all about death etc, so they kill people expertly/magically. They can change their face to anyone's face they've killed...so most likely Jaqen was never Jaqen, just another mysterious murderer who killed Jaqen.
Sorry, I'm a bit lost. Do you know all this from the books or did I miss a scene in the show that explained it? I remember him saying Arya owed the "Red God" three deaths but I assumed he killed Arya's chosen victims because she freed him. Do you mean the Jaqen she met in the castle was actually the faceless assassin who killed the man she freed and he only killed her victims to balance the scales? I'm going to have to watch that episode again.
Either way it was a fantastic sub-plot and I hope they expand on it more in the next season even if it is not featured heavily in the books. I also hope they bring Tom Wlaschiha back to play the part as he was amazing in the role.

It was? I don't know but it seems like what we saw was just the start of this particular sub-plot.
I haven't read the books but I've read the Game of Thrones wikipedias online. After they escape, did you notice when she asks "Jaqen" something, and he says to her Jaqen is already dead and morphs to another face? Whoever that was, and whoever "Jaqen" was, they're part of that cult/brotherhood. He gives Arya a chance to join them so she can learn to kill etc, but she can't, because she has to find her family. So he gives her a magic coin so she can find him/"him".
As I understand it there's a whole cult of faceless assassins who serve the Red God. It's not very clear if Jaqen was really Jaqen was really..Jaqen, a faceless assassin, or a faceless assasin who killed some dude named Jaqen and was using his face. I wonder, if he was a faceless assasin all along, he wouldn't have needed her help to escape? Or maybe he would have, I dunno...hmm.
I'm currently reading Part 2 of Storm Of Swords.
Shit just hit the motherfucking fan.
I am halfway through the second season. I do not understand this whole Wall thing yet. I thought everyone up in Scotla-, er, 'the north' were those creepy zombie people, but then there is that redhead chick with the not-so-subtle sexual tension with Jon Snow, plus the weird pimp daddy person.
"Is there such a place as Indo-China?" - Nadine Coyle.
The very first episode of the show opens with the discovery of slaughtered wildlings and how they are trying to go beyond the wall to escape the white walkers...
I really want to start watching this but it sounds SO complicated with far too many characters. Is it easy to understand if I simply watched it, trawling wikipedia and the like has me so confused,
