those girls are bad, they're so out of tune, though they will be autotuned 4 sure. I'd love Moonlight Densetsu from S and SuperS series to be the opening song, it would get everyone's attention immediately
quess we just have to wait and see. hope the new opening song will have a Sailor Moon vibe like all of them had
Momoiro Clover Z are normally awesome, so I'm not really worried about it. They're known for being huge anime fans and literally a perfect fit if you were going to pick out of today's J-Pop scene.
They seem like a nice girls and i do like their energy and enthusiasm but if the new anime should be more mature the girls are a bit weird choice since their songs and image are very childish. Oh well hope the song will be huge.

Kunzite and Zoisite were gay in the anime but not in the manga. Never heard about them being brothers to be honest, maybe it was a change in one of the local versions. They did such things quite often like Haruka and Michiru being cousins in America, Zoisite and Fish-Eye being women in most of versions.Originally Posted by Mandy-Fan

Hey guys who watched "Sailor Moon S - Answer the moon call!"? I found it recently and its pretty much like another Sailor Moon S episode. It was made for a game and there's plenty question during the show (the public has to choose one of 4 answers) but it doesnt ruin the episode at all. There is a victim, a daimon, transformations,attacks and all. And Tuxedo cracked me up at the end of the episode (at least once). The animation isnt the best but its not bad either.

I re-read the manga and it isn't really more mature or dark than the anime. I guess the girls were a bit more stupid and therefore immature in the anime, but hey at least it was funny and realistic (aren't these girls like 14-15 anyway ?). Actually, I would say the manga is even more naive and cheesy (in 30 pages for a fight, there's 1 page where the Inner Senshis get hurt so badly and are already KO, then 29 pages about Sailor Moon saying she has to save everyone and blablabla-cheesy-stuff-blablabla and then 1 page about her killing that villain). But that's my opinion.
So yeah, they have a lot to do if they want to follow the manga more closely but be more mature at the same time.
The manga is darker than the anime, it deals with more deaths and has a more realistic sense of confronting enemies than the anime did. SuperS is the best example. It had much more of a plot, and was much more exciting in the manga. In the anime it was a lot of character focused filler. It didn't advance any sort of plot at all and just played up cutesy imagery.

That was a huge issue, and you're correct. They shouldn't really have any obstacles with what sort of direction they should take. I really hope Naoko has the majority of control over what themes and plots they pick up on. They took so many unjust turns with the anime from a creative stand point. I have been on a Sailor Moon binge since the announcement. I can't get enough of it. Currently re-watching Classic.
The best would be a mix of manga and anime since both had their better and worse points. Four generals,Black Moon family, Witches 5, Amazon Trio as characters were better in the anime. Same with Mamoru,Chibiusa,Haruka, Michiru and Inners. Pluto and Saturn were more interesting in manga.

It's true, but it was all done with such a naivety and a cheesy output. So hopefully, the remake will be more mature in the way the girls deal with that.Originally Posted by flapjack-

I've been rewatching all the seasons. I'm up to episode four of S, and it's just all so perfect. I think R might be my least favorite season though, overall. Thoughts?
