YAY, received an email from Cherry Pop today to say that my Rock The World CD has been dispatched!
Hopefully it will be here tomorrow - very exciting. Hoping there are lots of glorious pictures in the booklet, they had some great photo sessions during this period - big haired blonde Denise and all in designer clothes

Great job done - loving the booklet and the design, some nice insights from Peter Robinson. Shame there isn't more by Doris, but still - better than nothing. Listening now - can't fault the sound quality, Another Weekend (Saturday Night Mix), Rock The World (Dub) and Someone's in love (US Radio Mix) sound great!

Got both of these today. Very pleased with the artwork, the DP interview and the sound quality. Well worth adding to your collection
Ok, so now these two have been unleased - when does the work start on the 12\" mix collection?? With the amount of remixes Five Star churned out, you could have double discs of Volume one, two, three etc - Hide and Seek, Crazy and Winning, all Extended versions being a must

Before the 12\" collection (which I want too). I think we should have a \'Greatest Hits\' with all the single remixes and single edits as none of them have featured on the re-releases. Some 7\"/single versions are very different from the album versions, especially \'The Slightest Touch\", \"Hide and Seek\" and \"RSVP\", also the Greatest Hits should have \"Problematic\" as the 1st track. So actually the album should be called \"The Singles Collection\".
Also how can I view the scans of the \'Rock The World\' album that someone above posted?

Slightest Touch and RSVP 7\" remixes appeared on the original 1989 Greatest Hits, along with the other single edits/remixes of their biggest hits (i.e. system addict, rain or shine etc. I\'m guessing you are asking for them to be remastered?
I have a vinyl rip of the 7\" edit of Hide and Seek, but the quality is kinda rubbish. Don\'t think this has ever appeared on CD?

Rock the World now down to £6.47 on Amazon which is the cheapest I\'ve seen any of the Five Star reissues so far. That, along with the pics in the above post, changed my mind from \'I\'ll stick with the original\' to \'Oh, go on then!\'
Bargain!! If between the lines reduces to that kinda price, then I\'ll be tempted to place an order

So Deniece is now out of 'The Voice' - shame but then again some of the people that have gone through to the next stage are dreadful so in a way it is probably best she didn't go through. I hope she can get a record deal now.
I feel like she was a scapegoat - the whole age vs experence thing - but I also have a feeling she was "in on" the whole thing?
Either way its been great exposure for her and a great reintroduction for Five Star - to see the greatest hits back in the iTunes chart was awesome!
i just hope they are going to give it their all at the rewind festivals.

Got my 'Rock The World' reissue last week and I'm quite enjoying it. Surprisingly it's the Doris penned track ( and sang by the lady herself ) 'Someone's In Love' that I'm enjoying most.
Five Star are scheduled to appear at G-A-Y on Saturday 22 September. I can't wait to see them!
Five Star went down a storm at G-A-Y tonight. They seemed well rehearsed and really enjoyed their performance and the reception they got.
I would have loved to see that! Hope they do some more gigs. A joint tour with Kim Wilde and Sinitta would be nice.
