Sugababes: Bringing out the best in fans since 2000. There's a lot more in-fighting between us than there ever was in the band itself!

I like Heidi's Nirvana vest but I'm not sure she suits it! It isn't very convincing, is it?

I do agree, she's a great singer but she never exactly blew me away. Muyta was always the better singer from 1.0/2.0 for me. But then Jade came along and stole the crown she once held! I love her vocals in 'Wait For You'.

I agree whole heartedly with your entire analysis there.

Mutya was indeed the big loss to the Sugababes NOT Keisha and Jade breathed life back into that band whether Amelle or Keisha had remained in 4.0 Jade was ALL THAT and ALOT MORE.

    @6AllSugababes It's from Q Magazine from December 2006.
It's just a picture from a photoshoot, they hardly look like best buddies..

I feel that when Keisha left and Jade joined it tore apart everything the Sugababes stood for. Yes, Mutya leaving and Amelle joining was a big, big change, but 3.0 were still the Sugababes to me.

Not Kirkland, but it's in this old ITN story about Amelle leaving:

She takes Amelle's hand off of her lap only to put her hand on hers....

  14. #4689
Oh, that. Well that's hardly 'smacking' is it. She moves it off, briefly holds Amelle's arm and then puts her hand on Amelle's leg. Nothing out of the ordinary at all.

  15. #4690
Oh come on, you can see that it's a bit of a power trip for Keisha.

Not really? I think her fans are trying to make it something it's not. I'm sure they didn't get along but to say she smacked her hand off is the hyperbole I've come to expect.

  17. #4692
She just moved her hand off her leg... and then seems to acknowledge fleetingly that it might look funny, so she compensates by putting hers on Amelle. It does speak volumes from a body language point of view, but yes, many of us read loads into these little slips, rightly or wrongly. Heidi and Amelle heavily imply their relationship with Keisha was awful, Keisha says they never once fell out or had a disagreement. Perhaps Keisha's behaviour was just as it is in that clip - not direct, not agressive, not open... but in fact a mood or vibe she gives off which they found difficult to work within? Heidi broke down and cried when she saw Keisha for the first time at that festival last year and apparently said, "I'm sorry" to her, while Amelle didn't. The dynamics of the group will never be clear and their relationships only known to themselves, but I honestly think subconciously, Keisha never liked Amelle replacing Mutya, however much she may have fought it. Amelle felt it and resented it. This clip sort've illustrates how cold Keisha can be without even realising it. But I could be talking a load of bollocks. Who knows? We can only makes sense of it ourselves in our own way. No point forcing others to agree with you.

Keisha is amazing. For years I was disappointed in how she'd went along with the ruination of the once great Sugababes but that was wrong. I hope she's making the most of her new chance for pop redemption.

Yes, that's very telling. If that is true then presumably she apologised to Keisha for something she did to her. Keisha did say she felt very betrayed by the whole thing. We'll probably never discover what happened behind the scenes, what Heidi feels so terribly guilty about that she had to apologise.

How? She went along with the 'ruination' until she was essentially kicked out. Just how she's going along with the 'reunion' because there are no hopes for a solo career for her. She is a opportunist. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up for debate.

It was wrong of me. She did participate in the crap of Easy, Girls, Get Sexy and many more flop pop abominations. That cannot be denied. I'm glad she's got a major label deal and taking time over the album. It's a good thing all of this happened to Keisha, because it led her back to Mutya and Siobhan. It brought back the true Sugababes and as fans that can only be a good thing.

Of all the Sugababes, Keisha is the least opportunist member. All those that leapt at the chance to replace others, or walked out of solo deals to join the band, they are true opportunists. Keisha simply stuck with the band she was in from it's inception. I don't even consider a reunion with the other originals evidence of opportunistic tendancies, she's simply still sticking to her chosen career path, singing as part of a girl group - and it's the same group, essentially. Someone like Jade Ewen would be the opportunist - how many stabs at this pop lark has she had now? Each one slightly limp and with minimal success and he keeps cropping up to have another bash. At least Keisha made a career out of something and has stuck to the same path.

Eek. With that type of trash talk it will be interesting to say the least to see how this reunion project will fare. Let the games begin.

You can't deny how dropping her set plans to release a solo album after two years of working on it to reunite with Mutya and Siobhan (of all people) because there was a record deal guaranteed seems just a little bit opportunistic, can you? As I said it's not exactly a bad thing. On the off chance that this reunion turns out big it could have bee a very smart move.

I think Siobahn is the least opportunistic. She just wants to make her music and for people to hear it. Keisha's always going on about American celebs shes friends with and what not. In her defense shes probably just networking to be fair though. I think everyone would agree that Jade Ewen is the most opportunistic. Its her middle name lol.

Absolutely right. I'm sure Jade would agree if asked - she's incredibly opportunistic. Sadly she doesn't seem to get it right. I hope she finds success somewhere in music, even as a backing singer.
