EastEnders didn't win any British Soap Awards tonight (Well they did but Lifetime Achievement doesn't really count). I hope the BBC take that as a wake up call and find a better executive producer.

I thought it was hilarious that they got nothing (bar the Lifetime Achievement), they took a real kicking and deservedly so. Billy Mitchell wasn't happy about it on ITV2!

It was great that Hollyoaks won so many awards as they have had a brilliant year. I found the categories EastEnders nominated themselves in depressingly funny eg "most spectacular scene" was Billy and the Olympic torch, and "best storyline" was the Who Shagged Kat atrocity with "best villain" the laughable Derek Branning. It just reminded me how bloody grim it was last year!

Well Billy and the torch was crap but none of the other soaps got the chance to have the torch. I really liked the Kat phantom shagger storyline though and Derek was brilliant!!

Confession time: I caught a little bit of Alice on tonight's EE while sorting out the DVD/VCR recorder tonight. She looked as lovely as ever, but god only knows what the storyline was....Janine and a Mad Hatter's tea party by the looks of it.

Hopefully the lack of awards will be the hint the show needs... Everything is just so repetitive and dull, you can pretty much guess where every storyline is going.
