And I think I found love, but forgot who with...
In a really cynical perspective, after the Western World has had a collective 'yawn' over her recent antics (and her puzzling attempts to be appear more 'motherly' / 'down to earth' with that Thanksgiving Special, the Simpsons Episode, and chatting with Opera in her pink bathrobe) Gaga might see this as an opportunity to re-establish herself as the provocateur she once was.
On the other hand--and Resi12 expressed it better--can't her fans just enjoy a damn live music show? Overall, she seems to have been pretty accommodating with her performances ('Judas' aside, which I'm not entirely sure what she gains from the matter aside from "LOL. Streetcred.")
On the other other hand, 'free speech' is much more limited in some of those countries in which Gaga plans on performing and I'm sure she has taken that into account.
There are rumours about that she has actually been arrested in the Philippines for singing Judas. Regardless of whether or not this is true, I really don't get what these Christian groups are worried about. I mean, it's not as if she's singing Judas on the street or in a Church. She's singing the song to paying fans that want to hear her music. I guess you can't really argue with extremists.
Organized religion has always given me the shits. I just don't get why people think that it is their duty to impose their homophobic, racist and bigoted views on to others. How about just fuck off and live your own life.
Get that Indonesian promo Gaga, though. They even bought tickets! Hopefully they are prepared for an onslaught of 40,000 Indonesian little monsters ready to rip them into complete shreds. When will your monster pit!?
FUUUUCK THE GOVERNMENT, etc.
I wouldn't mind her using these protests as a way to regain the image of a controversial, offensive popstar and springboard a darker image in preparation for a harder and darker 4th studio album. This is the same woman who wanted to remake the death of Princess Diana for the Paparazzi music video and do a lesbian shower scene for the Telephone video.
Considering she'll be performing some of her most "controversial" songs in 2013 for the US - Government Hooker, Americano - she'll need a bit more than a castle and a meat couch. Hopefully the 2012 version of this tour is the PG-13 version and she brings out the R-rated / XXX version just for the Bible belt.
And I think I found love, but forgot who with...
That reminds me, releasing Americano and/or Government Hooker in the midst of the current Presidential campaign with further political and social commentary through accompanying videos, interviews, performances, and fashion is the best Gaga mini-era that never was.
Anyway, if new material really is suppose to be released by end of the year, I wonder how that would affect this tour's setlist come the North American leg next year. She can't ignore new material but the show can't become a disjointed mess either.
u know where the dumpling spot at. U STILL a hood rat bitch.

The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence

If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone.
And I think I found love, but forgot who with...
So that insider guy "Jeff" confirmed on his Twitter that Zedd would be working on the album, and DJWS happened to tweet "Call me" to Zedd.
I don't know what to think of Zedd yet... I like his remix of Marry The Night I guess.

Naturally, monsters on the internet going crazy over her resolution to perform without dancers and without a band in order to ensure the safety of everyone but herself. "Be brave," etc etc

She knows what she's doing.
I'm looking at this simply from a geopolitical front (doing a Geopolitics degree, y'nahh). Indonesia are an 'Asian Tiger', ie a rapidly developing Asian economy. They're massively dependent on the US for trade and security. You honestly think that their government are going to do anything to impede US relations? Have anything for the US consumer market to want to be put off Indonesia for? No. Gaga is going to be better protected than Keri's Walmart job after her next album flop. Or it'll be cancelled.
I see this as ridiculous hype from fundamentalist freaks anyway. They'd probably declare death on a waitress if they got their order wrong at a bar. They're using this show to build a name for their cause.
Yeah because Lady Gaga is the only pop star of this generation to have an iconic anthematic song. California Gurls says hi. *Eye roll*
This must be political. If I doled out money for the Born This Way Ball and my government made me witness a purely Gaga Piano show, I'd be starting a coup around minute 7 of Hair.
(Concerns for her safety, etc etc.)
She wouldn't do the whole thing on the piano would she ? I have this vision of her just running around the stage like the Edge of Glory video.
"Lady Gaga@ladygaga
And don't worry, if I get thrown in jail in Manila, Beyonce will just bail me out. Sold out night 2 in the Philippines. I love it here!"
At least she's laughing about the whole thing.
If I read "Trust me, I study geography" one more time I'll have to put my "I LOVE JINZO" bar down from 110% to 80%. You're not the only one who is able to understand international affairs. Of course the government can't just arrest her, imagine the international outcry. However, what that crazy religious group does has nothing to do with the government (at least, that's my impression) and they can therefor do whatever they want.

You can put it anywhere.
I didn't mean it like that! I meant more that it's in the Indonesian government's interests to protect her. She's a huge icon in the US, beloved by many. If Indonesia were to take her from us, do you think US citizens would be quick to buy Indonesian goods, or stand by and protect Indonesian political interests on the global stage? Indonesia's reputation is already at threat with this whole debacle. If, god forbid, something worse were to happen, then they would well and truly be in le shitter. The government need to send out a much sterner message to these fundamentalists, to be seen to crack down on their actions.
Of course I could be blowing it slightly out of proportion, but Indonesia definitely needs to realise the consequences of its potential actions.
Imagine World War 3...

I think it's great what she's doing over there, I just hope she isn't taking too large risks concerning her own safety...
She actually performed Judas at her first show there ha!
Completely love her, can do no wrong, etc.
Jakarta Police said they were ready to send 4,000 officers to secure Gaga's show, your faves could never. But this is in past tense..does that mean its been cancelled?

Looking at her twitter feed, it's hilarious to see her hyping her Simpsons episode in one tweet and in THE VERY NEXT ONE, she's on about religious extremists. What is her life?
Also, she needs to be arrested and/or (non-fatally) shot. Like maybe just a little nick. The headlines would be quite something.
Balance dad mysterious.
If I were her I'd have alread sent a member of the Haus into the Monster Pit to fire blanks at her mid-Judas. She'd obviously have to convincingly act as if she'd been shot (sort of like the VMAs but less theatrical) but imagine the headlines and promotion; Americans would flock to the airport in their hundreds of thousands to mark the return of their wounded soldier and - BAM! - she's America's new darling. Her comeback singles would of course lyrically refer to the incident and have the same chord progression as 'Revolver'.
"Ardent Rihanna mud-slinger"
Not to sound like a complete evil maniac, but just imagine if she actually was...harmed..or worse...in Asia, by these extremists, and then her posthumous 4th album Kill The Bitch was released soon afterwards... It would be quite something!
I want to reiterate the fact that I do NOT want this happen...
Let's raise hell in the streets drink beer and get into trouble..heavy metal lovaa!
I hope she's okay!
You took my heartbeat from me, this is the saddest story
