Hip hop makes me grate my teeth and is absolutely insufferable to listen to. Rent-a-rap in modern pop music has ruined anything redeeming it could've possibly ever had. That's my story and I'm not changing.

Still doesn't change the fact Gaga has worked with rappers before.
Remember Wale?

My intense desire for a Gaga - Kanye collab hopes that he was at Beyonce's maternity ward the day Gaga visited her and Blue Ivy and they catched up and made plans to work together.
u know where the dumpling spot at. U STILL a hood rat bitch.
It doesn't matter if it was a favour or not, she's still done it. How is that not clear?
The circumstances don't matter, just because someone didn't like it or she did it purely for a non-creative reason doesn't mean it didn't happen.
I think she'd blend well with a lot of artists in general but I'd love to see her work with Azealia Banks.

I'd like to think she'd be more openminded than thinking 'one rapper once insulted me > I'll never work with rapper again'
I don't know, I just don't see how anyone could so arbitrarily hate a musical genre. It's your reasoning that's annoying, as it tends to be.
I may not be crazy about polka music, but I'm not going to blacklist a whole genre, and I'm pretty sure there's a polka song out there that I would absolutely love.
I remember that she made it clear in an interview that she's isn't interested in collaborating with any of her contemporaries unless she knows them personally and it comes along organically, and it's not some shallow attempt at winning over the charts.
And she clearly prefers working with the *legends* i.e Cher, Elton John, Mutt Lange, Brian May, Clarence Clemons.

The original point was that she has never been involved with a rap collab, she has in fact been involved with a few. There's nothing else to it.
I would imagine she'd like to work with up and coming artists, I think Gaga is very clever and doesn't just collaborate with just anyone (mainly) but obviously there are times when she has (for whatever reason) and it may happen again. I don't think any artist is above collaboration of any kind. It's kinda upsetting that some fans are so against the idea of her exploring different genres with other artists.
Wasn't she meant to do something with Lil' Wayne once? I'd love to see what they could create.
Another would be Missy Elliot. In her prime Missy was the shit *Bring It On reference alert* and in my opinion they could come up with something epic. But obviously every fan has their own idea's of who she should/could/will collaborate with.

I mean, she just has always seemed to not be a huge fan of the genre. She made her feelings clear about the genre and its main artists in her Fuse interview for The Fame Monster and the complete indifference by the rap audience to rappers saying homophobic things seems to really bug her. And like PopFolke said, she's kind of "above" - be it pretentious or not - working with people she's not close with or who aren't considered legends. I mean, she's a pop artist and she doesn't really like any Top 40 pop.

“I’ve done a lot of soul searching this past year.. You’re going to be, perhaps, very surprised with the woman that I’ve become, with my new music and my new album. It’s not that I don’t care anymore what people say, it’s just I couldn’t care any less what people say anymore. Because the only ones that matter to me are you. And you only live once, you only live one time, and before you know it…”
This actually makes me excited.

and before you know it... *album title*
???
Where is that from?
She sounds like she's about to do something....big.
Balance dad mysterious.

And it does seem like the album is going to deal with death, especially with the only thing we've heard being "Princess Die".

Exciting!
But where did she say that? In an interview? At her show?

No, just no, those are two of her worst songs. I cannot understand why anyone likes Eh Eh, it is such generic pap and its a song that really isn't worthy of her. Fashion of His Love is not quite as grating but I can see why it was a bonus track rather than on the main album, and I haven't bothered to buy it.
Bloody Mary is amazing, end of, its possibly my favourite track from the album - although it fights with Heavy Metal Lover for that honour.
Half psychotic, sick hypnotic, got my blueprint, its symphonic
