Can't recall where the Art Of Noise 2CD was mentioned now but I thought it best to stick a word about it in here...

For the purists who might be buying this, I must point out that 'Legs' and 'Paranoimia (Paranoid Mix)' are take from vinyl. It's explicity mentioned in the booklet as the master tapes are gone/lost/destroyed. Likewise, 'The Krypton Factor Theme' (from ITV's mono mp3 vault), 'I'm A Stranger Here Myself' and Cassandra' (both from old cassettes) aren't perfect either. Shame, but they are lost to the world so this is as good as it gets.

can anyone update me on the Alison Moyet reissues that were talked about a while ago... i'd love to get Alf & Raindancing as deluxe remasters (as well as all her subsequent albums of course, but they're the two 80's ones)... are they on hold til her new album gets released?

I swear Cherry Pop will drain my bank account eventually. If they can only put together a cd of Dee C Lee's earlier stuff prior to Shine - I'd be a happy man.

  6. #256
I'd love the Dee C. Lee stuff. I don't even have all the vinyl, so I haven't heard some of the tracks at all!

I laughed! Perhaps there should come another re-issue craze, this time for crap '90s albums.
Culture Beat's Serenity is being re-released in the UK! Maybe there should be a 90s reissue thread.

Only two bonus tracks and no mention of the word "remastered"?  Hmm.  This won't be a jewel in Cherry Pop's crown!

    Mandy Smith - Mandy - £4.99

(same prices on Amazon, but Lonnie Gordon not in stock there)

I have the Mandy CD I bought on e-bay years ago from Japan for a ridic amount. Part of me is tempted by the re-issue for a better sound but the stubborn part of me thinks I've paid enough already for it. Is it worth it if it's cheap?

  16. #266
I've just browsed the whole 2400 titles....

Yeah, I'm wondering about the Eighth Wonder CD as well. Looks like I'll be spending a fortune there today.

Well I cost myself £3.98 on those two Dannii reissues, so it's not like I got away free.

    Nearly. But not quite.

Still, 17 CDs - mostly doubles or Cherry Pop deluxes - ain't bad for £57.

  20. #270
Come on Eric, what did you order? Not sure I can face trawling 2400 titles!

  21. #271
    Haha, well...

Helen Terry, Rick Astley (2CD), Tony Hadley, Kiki Dee, Love & Money, Dollar (all Cherry Pops), a couple of Leo Sayer 2-fers at 1.99 each (!), Joan Armatrading, Passions, a John Foxx double live CD, 808 State ex:el (2CD), two Bonnie Tyler reissues, a Faces compilation, the 2CD of Hurrah's album....I think that's it!

I'll check Leo Sayer. I'd like World Radio on CD if that was one of them.

  23. #273
Hate to tell you this but some of the prices have gone down in the last hour!

Lonnie Gordon is £2.99 now, and Mandy Smith is down to £3.99.

    Ha.

Well I started to actually buy them when a couple disappeared from stock as I added to my basket. I didn't want to miss out on too many by waiting a while.

If those two are still there, I might get them now.
