This is such a great summer song. I've been listening to it all day. I can't believe so many of you don't like it. I still haven't heard the live version yet, but I'm glad to hear that its even better live.

For me Parking Lot is reminiscent of the time spent during high school summers driving around with nowhere to go and just revelling in each other’s company. I love it.

This is awful. Parking Lot is awful. If they really consider it a single after the failure of Big Hoops and Spirit Indestructible they must be crazy.

I'm really not getting into this whole campaign. I love Big Hoops turned up in my car but somehow something keeps it away from being seen as truly amazing in my head. The follow-up is catchy but also feels kind of cheap and half-hearted (and I hate this AEIOU-part). This one sounds like Disney meets M.I.A. meets Gwen Stefani circa 2007 but does not taste half as great as the ingredients would make you believe.

I'm mildly worried about the album. Loved all the english albums with a passion but three songs in I feel nothing about this one.

"Parking Lot" is actually my favorite thing I've heard from this era by a long shot. It reminds me of an M.I.A-ed "Amnesia" (Brit Brit). Win.

I thought this too! Said it a couple pages back... something about the beat is VERY reminiscent of "Amnesia."

I really like this track... I'm excited about this record.

Sounds better than the version I've heard before

Parking Lot is properly great, got me excited for the album again. I hope she can get some success back somehow.. I have a feeling this is going to be a great album but it will tank

Are we supposed to be able to understand what she's singing or is it in a different language?

'Parking Lot' is good. It's obviously not 'The Spirit Indestructible' or even 'Big Hoops' good, but it's very good nonetheless and further builds my excitement for the full release. Twenty tracks feel excessive.

Parking Lot is taking me over! It's effortlessly cool. I think it could make a good single...

  11. #1086
    So I'm thinking...

'Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)' > 'Parking Lot' > 'Spirit Indestructible'

Although, 'Parking Lot' may overtake 'Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)' very soon.
I listened to your problems, now listen to mine.

Oh no, 'The Spirit Indestructible' is clearly the superior of the three.

It's really not. 'Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)' has that glorious breakdown at the end, and 'Parking Lot' is just brilliant.

After 6* years of waiting, really?!

*5 if you consider that the last single from Loose was released in November 2007.

I know the wait's been long and given that I've enjoyed all three offerings thus far, you'd think 'The Bigger The Better' but as a collective listening experience, it just sounds slightly excessive and laborious. I've no doubt the album itself will deliver, however.

I don't like how you just completely ignore Mi Plan! It's really very good.

Okay, after listening to Parking Lot a few more times — I've realized that it is 100% pure pop perfection. It is starting to sound like an absolute smash. Like, #1 for 7 weeks kind of smash. I think they should really try to push it on radio. It's so undeniably catchy, you know, with its 10 hooks and everything. The moment I stop listening to it — it's in my head. I wish she would perform it at the VMA's. I'm already seeing amazing choreography and a lot of dancing on top of cars.

Parking Lot is properly amazing. I kind of wish the vocals were a bit more melodic like the middle but regardless, it's great.

I really love Parking Lot. She needs a huge hit for this era. Hope it's with this.

I have to admit, Parking Lot clicked with me in a major way. I can't seem to be able to turn it off somehow... Still don't think it's going to be a hit, although she really deserves one.

  22. #1097
I truly hate Parking Lot. After amazingness that Big Hoops and Spirit Indestructible were this is such an awful awful few steps down.
˝She is a sexy, bionic woman, and every damn one of you will deal as she shits on your faves.˝ BEST FICTION.

Ok so Spirit Indestructible (the song) was finally put up on itunes (Canada, USA, etc.) yesterday starting at 69 cents - Big Flops also discounted to this price. What took so long? Why did they wait 2 months after the video without making any new promo during that time? Right after premiering Parking Lot? It's such a shame to see this era go down the toilet... whoever is making these decisions is insane.

  24. #1099
Has it been removed? I just checked iTunes and it's not there.

It's been on Amazon however for like the past month. It's like they don't even want it to chart or something...

I love it but anybody hoping 'Parking Lot' is going to make any impact chart-wise is going to be majorly disappointed.
