Has totally failed to assemble her new hoover correctly.
It's missing the big silver tube to enable her to hoover her rug while standing up.

I asked her about this.
"There is a metal bit too," she said, "but I've got a tiny flat and not much to vacuum."
Poor excuse - 3/10.
You can see the metal tube in the photo where she's layed it all on the floor...Originally Posted by Popjustice

Love Ellie. Been following her for a while since she was mentioned on the Neon Gold blog (which is a treasure chest of new artists). Her cover of Black And Gold is exquisite and Guns + Horses is brill.
I look forward to a full release from her!
Sixty-nine is the only dinner for two.
Besides the whole Hoover thingy... Is she releasing a single and album anytime soon? I like her. But then again, I also liked Polly Scattergood, at least a couple of songs. I hope Ellie does better than Polly.
There's already a thread for her. However, I like the sassy period at the end of this title, so I will add my contribution.
I love this girl! Well, I love one song I've heard from this girl! "Wish I Stayed" will easily be in my top tracks of the year list.
there's more there's more there's more to love
I wish she releases something and not become another Frankmusik where eventually everyone just loses interest and moves on.
im hoping for more exclusives like this to come..
Single's out in October...
I absolutely LOVE "Guns & Horses" and "Wish I Stayed". If the material on her album is anything like those two tracks then I cannot wait to hear it all.
Which song is she planning on releasing as the single?

I like her, can't wait. Amusing videos with StarSmith on youtube as well.
i love what i've heard from her so far, Starry Eyed is so very good. I hope she chooses a good song for the single....
probably not Starry Eyed for the Neon Gold single I'm afraid, as that will probably be held back for the big major label hit. just choosing between a few other tracks at the moment, rest assured they're all a few different kinds of amazing though.
Rather good remix of "Starry Eyed" by JAKWOB

I like Starry Eyed. I definitely think it's distinctive enough to do separate her from the pack. It could, if the other material is like this, actually push the sort of Frankmusik production / James Yuill folk-tronica far further commercially than either of those artists managed.
The date for the Neon Gold single is Oct 26 apparently, but is there any info about which song it will be?
If you can't even keep up with big news on a newcomer, how embarrassing for you. | last.fm
has she had any radioplay? i havent heard her anywhere..
I'm sort of a little bit worried for her - I don't want it to be another Little Boots situation in 2010 where the hype and 'name' is so far removed from how well she's actually doing. It seems to be gathering so much momentum already, press-wise.
The single is going to be Under The Sheets. In our opinion it's the best song she's done yet (yes, even better than Starry Eyed) and Starsmith has completely and utterly outdone himself on the production. It's beyond massive. I don't want to sound like breakfast2 but I hope Ellie is pursuing higher education or some sort of craft/trade, because really now.
(Edited to add that I certainly understand that she is precisely the kind of anodyne, boring white-girl-who-sings that Neon Gold would eat up, but to pluck one out of thin air, give her a major label recording deal and superb management, and try to make her a pop star, smacks of terrible awful practical joke to me.)

I agree with both. I mean, this really sounds fantastic; and way too sophisticated to claim chart success.
