Thread: Ellie Goulding.

Oh GOD. Ellie and Calvin = horror. Please don't make the album.

  2. #2052
Is it the new rule in pop music that your lead single must be produced by Calvin Harris?

  3. #2053
Call My Name and We Found Love are both AMAZING so I don't think anyone should really be upset about Ellie working with Calvin.

I imagine they would fit rather wonderfully though.

It's just she's collaborating at a time where everyone seems to be collaborating with him, which is unfortunate.
I'm about to drown in the ocean.

I love Calvin Harris, his output (his own albums and remixes for other people) has a lot more variety than the big hit singles would suggest.

Although if Ellie was to come out with a "We Found Love"/"Call My Name"-esque number I doubt I'd be complaining.

Calvin Harris is an amazing producer. People don't like him now because he's everywhere, but you can never have too much of a good thing.

  7. #2057
I hate the idea but I'm sure I'll love the song, so..

I think this might indeed be amazing, with herself involved it can't be another generic hit. I think she'll want more.

  9. #2059
I'm very happy, but I thought the concept was to go darker with this new album? Calvin Harris may prove me wrong, but that hardly seems the case with his productions.
    The Disney Girls.

Hope Ellie's song isn't too similar, but I agree. It could be amazing. Rush it to US radio.

Also: I hear Lights all of the time. It's amazing.

I'd imagine that an Ellie/Calvin collaboration will result in something that's a minor stroke of genius (We Found Love) rather than some generic pap a la Call My Name. I'm envisioning an eerie, tears-on-the-dancefloor semi-stomper.
So you like show tunes? That doesn't mean you're gay. It just means you're AWFUL!!!

  12. #2062
Sorry for probably being insanely late to the party, but the Bassnectar remix of Lights is fucking immense. It takes the song to another level.

The beat is so dirty, it's become a sex jam.

Ok I'm so late to this but I finally got round to listening to her version of High For This and I think it's bloody brilliant. For the upcoming album, if she worked or collaborated with The Weeknd, I will faint! I swear!

Loving the amazingly beautiful Monsieur Adi remix of High For This.

I'm wary as to whether Hanging On and a Calvin-produced dance track will coincide on the same album. If Scissor Sisters' Magic Hour was any indication, then color me worried.

This is very true. It's not necessarily going to be a we found love is it?

    You spelt amazing wrong

Calvin knows what he's doing, love him and trust him completely, he wouldn't bollock this up, gosh some people are never open to new ideas, you might surprise yourself and love it (you all will)

  18. #2068
A whole Calvin-produced Ellie album would be amazing.

I have zero knowledge how long the following titled writing credits have been here, but they're all new to me: Angel, Fever, Getaway Girl, High, In My City, Sound of Hurt, Spy, Ting Sun Dian, You My Everything.

Just heard Under The Sheets for the first time in months. I completely forgot what an amazing song it is. I'm so pumped for new material and ready to get swept off my feet by Ellie all over again!

  21. #2071
After being disappointed at the official site's discography and the fan site's, I decided to make one myself. It's only meant to cover her career since her first single and all of the subsequent releases, including features and also appearances on compilations that aren't on anything else. If there's anything missing or any suggestions to be made, I'd love to hear them.

While doing this I found out that they've taken the Under the Sheets' video off YouTube. How dumb.

So the proper first single for the new album is called Anything Could Happen. Lyrics: https://www.facebook.com/elliegouldi...76805695769067
Born to run, get ahead of the rest.

  23. #2073
Love the lyrics, hope the song is good.

  24. #2074
After those 5-6 times repeated "Anything could happen" lyrics, watch the Calvin-beat kick in, a la We Found Love.

Excited and worried at the same time.

The exact same thought went through my head the moment I saw the chorus. What we've heard so far is promising, so maybe our fears are for naught.
