Initially I loved 'Femme Fatale' but some of the tracks did run their course with me. It's not as timeless as her other albums. Half of the album for me is just filler. For me, 'Up & Down' is the most underrated song on the album along with 'Trip To Your Heart'.
I've got a fist full of love that's coming your way

I was actually just trying to figure out if this is my top Britney album, although it doesn't have Gimme More so perhaps not.
How I Roll, Hold It Against Me and Inside Out are all good examples of songs that didn't sound like anything else at the time, or built on the current sound. But too many times the other songs on the album just painted Britney as some basic girl that we all know she's not. Femme Fatale has some of my favorite Britney songs on it, and my all-time favorite, but there are too many songs that are underwhelming as well, even if I don't consider anything 'shit.' Seal It With a Kiss is Hold It Against Me's less attractive younger sister, Gasoline's bare minimum production doesn't do the intro justice, and Drop Dead Beautiful is just a total half-assed mess. Honestly, Big Fat Bass remains one of my favorites from the album because will.i.am seemed to understand that this is BRITNEY SPEARS and she deserved a massive banger. Even if one doesn't like will.i.am's production/rap, it's pretty clear that he gave her the top of his game.

No! 'Seal It With a Kiss' is probably the most carefree song on the album. I mean, that chorus! The way she says, "In the shadows, where it's hot," it's so much fun. I can picture a video of Britney in hot pants and a white t-shirt leading an army of followers parading through the streets singing along to the song.
    Meet your new stepmom, kid.

That's why I love Big Fat Bass. It's outrageous and different to the overused Dr. Luke sterile production that appears on pretty much every single track on the album. It's weird, it's quirky, it's one hell of an ugly baby, but it doesn't care.

On the subject of will.i.am.not's production, do any of you reckon the second Britney collab with him will ever surface? I'm intrigued with what they came up with in the recording sessions.

Yeah he said it's on his upcoming album but we may never get that at this rate.

he should just release the britney collab as second single. it will smash, then he can release the album (or not)!

I feel exactly the same. I don't think I'll listen to the whole album again and again in the years to come, the way I do with "In The Zone", "Blackout" or "Britney". Some songs have worn off so quickly.
And funnily enough, those are my two favourite songs, too.I still mourn the absence of "Trip To Your Heart" on the Femme Fatale Tour.

I thought it was confirmed by him we weren't getting a Britney collab?

Can't wait to see pics of her sitting behind the judges desk next to Simon. Some youtube clips of her comments would be amazing too. Can't wait till September for weekly Britney action.

I love it too. The video would be benefit from a kitschy film noir vibe with Britney in a mac and hat. She'd be running down dark streets waving a torch and illuminating dancers and the other Britney from Hold It Against Me.

Britney might be in a conservatorship for being unfit to handle her affairs, but she's ready to show the world that ain't true.

Simon Cowell's publicist, Max Clifford, tells Heat her camp is confident she'll ace the gig.

"Simon [Cowell] and his team and Britney and her team have had long discussions and everything has been done to give it the best possible chance," Clifford said.

"Simon's totally aware of her background, and everyone's as confident as they can be that it's the right time and place for Britney. Those close to her are 100% confident that this will succeed."

Britney's friend and backing singer Melissa Lifton added: "Britney feels like this signifies a whole new chapter for her, and she's really honored and a bit nervous that she gets to judge who has talent or not.

"But what she really sees The X Factor as is a chance to redeem herself. She's excited to show the world that she's funny, charming, genuine and not crazy."

'How I Roll' is amazing and I won't hear anything against it. The highlight of Femme Fatale for me!

It was initially my favorite song that I figured wouldn't get single treatment, and it's still great, but it's so clearly 'Hold It Against Me P.2' in a less successful way.

I feel like I'm tearing this album apart, but I'm really not. It's just that it's what I really didn't think Britney needed at the time. She needed that cutting edge pop running through the whole thing. Basically, Dr. Luke should have done three songs and kept his hands off the rest of it. Dr. Luke/Max for three, Bloodshy for two, Darkchild for three, will.i.am for one, and Danja for three. Perfect album, I'm sure.
    Janet.

I can't believe someone asked her to sign that magazine cover, the coverline reads 'Inside An American Tragedy, bit poor taste.

Anyway she looks great, she should only have wavy hair from now on I think.

  16. #24016
    That's really poor taste.

She looks polished in those pictures, but not over the top or out of her comfort zone.

  17. #24017
Imagine if she was just like this while introducing/commenting on the Xfactor

    Something will change...

  18. #24018
She's looking great! Also... DAT ASS.

  19. #24019
She looks PHENOMENAL! That dress is way more flattering than the previous ones as well, I love that color on her!

AWKWARD @ her singing that magazine that says "An American Tragedy" on it - I can't believe someone would bring that. But good for her for still signing it?

Sometimes we overthink the appeal of Britney. The fact is people love her. America (for the most part) has the most extraordinary loyalty to her, they'll forgive her anything, won't they? There was a segment on E! the other day and some university students were doing her dance routines, singing her songs, and they all genuinely adore her. It goes beyond reason, I suppose.

wow, her body looks beyond amazing, her hair looks good and she even smiles and it doesn't look uncomfortable. i'm quite shocked. hopefully xfactor can help her getting back her swag!

DEAD @ the girls bowing at Britney

  23. #24023
I think Britney will ease into this nicely. She clearly hates talking about herself in interviews. Any time someone asks a question unrelating to her during an interview, she perks up. All her talking will be about other people so I see her being pretty decent.

  24. #24024
Oh my giddy aunt! She looks amazing! The smile looks comfortable, although her pose is very awkward (where do I put my hands ya'll?!). So excited for this.

This is so odd to see.
