Who would call 'Womanizer' urban? I surely wouldn't. Anyways, I hope for good Bloodshy & Avant material as well.

Compared to Circus? It's half spoken/rapped, and is sonically more urban than Circus. Just compare the producers of the two songs.

The opening is fucking amazing. The Oops remix...EPIC.

I hope this next tour has a traditional stage with a catwalk.

  5. #11405
    Ew, I don't. Yawn.

I often think about unique stage ideas for her next tour. I think a theatre looking stage obviously with lots of hidden move-y parts would be awesome. A big red velvet curtain and such. Or something like Kylie's X tour but with more hydrolics. Or a two tier stage. Or something really assymetrical jutting into random areas of the arena.

I have an over-active imagination. I do think Onyx had probably the best conventional stage since Drowned World.

Damn calm down. I meant traditional as in not in-the-round. Anything else will suffice, really, as long as she doesn't have her back facing 3/4 of the audience at any given time.

I loved the 'Onyx Hotel' stage. It's really artsy and sort of futuristic. The way the screens are positioned and the different set ups for the songs... Gorgeous. Mind you, the 'DWAD' tour stage was also very well designed.

Second she had 2 babies, and she got fat that meansshe may have lost the flexibility may be not all of her flexibility but she isn't flexible like before. And she had 2 knees surgery.
first - why would it be funny, when she does shit like Mannequin, If U Seek Amy, radar, etc, which are plain stupid, childish routines? Being 28 means nothing. If anything, right now her dancing is the most juvenile and simple.

second - having babies have absolutely nothing to do with anything. Babies are not a disease, they don't make you lose flexibility. Plus she never got fat. Janet Jackson is ten times fatter than Britney and still dances circles around her. Please educate yourself.

in regards to the knee surgery, yes that might be the problem. Maybe not a physical one, but she may be holding back in fear of hurting it again.

and the squats she does in If U Seek Amy take a toll, but not on the ligament that she suffered the lesion. The ligament she hurt is responsible for maintaining the balance/ your knee on place when you spin your leg/turn it to the side. That's how she hurt it, she did a spin, but her leg and feet locked on the floor and did not move.
Ok think of britney now doing the vma's 2000 routine and then tell me if it wouldn't look funny i am not saying her recent moves are silly what i am saying this era routines fits a 28 years old woman. So before commenting try to understand what i am saying. And yes babies and getting fat can make you less flexible and look at her slave for u routine in circus tour when she tries to do the belly dancing part she can't move her back like before and it was clear that she isn't flexible like before.
sorry to drag the conversation back to an old topic but janet managed to perform to this standard aged 35

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acc33cYxv0Q

I can appreciate that Britney isnt 19 anymore but if she put the same level of effort in as she did in the mannequin rehersals that would be enough to set her apart from gaga and kesha etc

  11. #11411
I think we should just wait until next era to see whether Britney still has her full blown performance abilities. That's what I'm doing anyway. And c'mon, even the Circus era choreography was better than GaGa and Ke$ha.

Artists have their lulls, it happens. Like Janet right now (even though she is just as capable doing the routines when she's not power walking). Or Michael around 2001.. he was back to fantastic form in TII (sadly).

Ooh, it reminds me off when Britney had that listening to music session when she did the In The Zone album. They were talking about Toxic and Chaotic at the time.

God I can't wait to read what they say about it!

There's nothing urban about Womanizer. I mean really.

And a Rusko first single would be freaking awesome!

God somebody just say "LOOK SHE'S GOT A SINGLE COMING SOON" instead of this pseudo-news bullshit every other day. It's so frustrating.

    IT REALLY IS!!!!

Initial song reviews, here we come! And it's very early to be giving songs to the media. Normally they do it after the first singles come out.. hopefully this means they have lots of songs contending for first single (kinda like it was with ITZ, indeed).

People have been saying that a new single will be out soon since about January though. I remember KIIS FM saying that a single was coming out in March and look what happened - absolutely nothing.

I mean somebody real and truly connected with her.

But it was always more likely for them to release it in the fall.

If she really has been recording as much as we're led to believe, I don't see why they would want to wait another year, or even 6 months.

It'll probably be officially announced a week before it premiers. So we still have a while to go.

But that's the thing, we don't know how much she's been recording/rehearsing. We know absolutely nothing, and it's fun to speculate but it gets very frustrating. I mean, after the tour ended there were rumours a new album would be out early 2010.

There's gonna be a massacre at Jive records if all this ends up being nothing and we don't get an album until next summer or some bullshit like that.

  21. #11421
Well her official Australian website which is notoriously wrong but still clearly well connected said the tentative release was Summer.

I get the feeling they had a couple of albums worth of stuff now. They seemed to have really gone off on a tangent with the whole Guetta possibility then Rusko/Diplo/Tiesto mentions.. she's probably recorded a whole different album to what they were originally recording (as is apparently normal for Britney album sessions).

I hope nothing is mentioned as far as the "original" direction of the album is concerned, if such a change was made. I can't take another era of fans and their woulda-coulda-shoulda attitudes and "JIVE MADE HER THROW AWAY WHAT SHE REALLY WANTED TO DO" excuses.

We do know SOME things. She was physically at Danja's studio in Miami a couple of months ago. Bloodshy & Avant have been working on things for her. Rusko for sure produced something. Tiesto was requested.

And then there's all of the others that have been rumored or tweeting about their songs for her, primarily Darkchild, Guetta, and Diplo.

  24. #11424
I heard Tiesto and Danja worked together for her.

In which case, that's one expensive studio session. Jive better use that shit! I also REALLY hope Scott Storch's stuff makes an appearance. Anything Strippedesque would just be amazing, and he's in need of a comeback.
