I'm slightly more excited to see what Demi will bring to the table as I don't really know her well, this is opening her up to a whole new audience so whoever landed her the gig. Kudos to them.
Oh dear, some people are so easily impressed. It's saddening actually, I thought she would be really good and confident and not sound choked up and as monotonously scripted as always. Shame!

I'm so bloody well excited. I'm such a stan, I was full on hyperventilating when she walked on stage.
She was clearly a bit nervous there, but she kept it together well when she knew the entire world's eyes were upon her and nothing else.

Woah, so its real. Will be interesting to see how things transpire in September when both XF and The Voice are on. I think it is fair to say XF will kick ass in ratings (at least to begin with) but it will be interesting to see if the initial hype around the show and its new judges will be sustained. I still stand by my belief that both Britney and Demi basically fulfil the same role on the show and will just 'cancel' eachother out.

Perhaps she'll bond with Britney over that and help her open up a bit on the show.
Edit: Oh my God, she was so awkward. Sort of like how I imagine I would be if I was thrown up on the stage. I'm sure she'll gradually settle into it though and be a bit more relaxed.

Her face looks less puffy/more normal(?), or is it just me? Her smile and pose doesn't even look as...stiff-necked. Something is different here, something is better.
The media are going to go crazy reigniting the Britney vs. Xtina rivalry - I guess it'll give their shows great publicity in the end. Demi's probably there because she'll pull in a younger demographic, and also because they'll need a cheaper judge since Britney gobbled up a huge portion of their budget with her salary.
I'm really excited for this. Did you see Britney's face when Simon said 'We're going to kick arse', she was laughing so hard. She seems genuinely excited - I'm not bothered by her slightly scripted speech, they were all scripted, this entire showcase is by nature horrendously artificial and stage.

Does Demi realize she's being served up as a sacrifical lamb? If (and by if, I mean when) there's a feud this season, Demi's name is pretty much guaranteed to be on one side of the ___ v___. Britney has enough stans to survive any bad press that may come out of this, but few people know who Demi is so if this goes badly she's toast.
