Are we talking in the context of her music videos or just in general? She dyed her hair brown during the circus era (plus her other notable hairstyles, including the baldy).

I do not want her to change her hair now, because it looks so nice and lucious and healthy, and why fix what isn't broken, amirite?

  3. #23028
I'd like for her to experiment with some colour though. Maybe a darker blonde or something - the platinum's a bit much for me. But then again, Britney is blonde. There's no argument about that. That is her look.

Britney's hair has been on point since the Criminal video, the best it's looked in YEARS.

  6. #23031
She looks quite scary in that screenshot, but I agree, she looked absolutely stunning in the Criminal video.

It's sad that Criminal is going to be such a forgotten moment for Britney. I barely remember it as it is, but it's her best video performance since Old Britney and she looks great.

It's also strange that in spite of how overtly sexual the video is, how great she looks and how rediculous her fiances body is, it isn't really all that sexy.

She has done it for videos, but not necessary for her pop star day to day life, unless you count the pink wig, black and some times brown.

Blkonde just works for her, she doesn't really need to dye it. Although the black hair and red hair (Toxic, Womanizer) suites her.

  9. #23034
I'd love for her to try the Onyx Hotel hair again for the next era. Or go black or dark brown again. I don't think it will ever happen though because I bet her team, like many other people associate brunette Britney with the "dark times."

The last time she went darker was during the UK leg of the Circus Tour, right?
Party people crazy party wow wow wow

  10. #23035
Her team decides what colour her she has now? Maybe she just likes being blonde at the moment.

  11. #23036
I think she has control over her hair!

Besides she did mention that when she is blonde, it's when she's in work mode.

Was listening to iPod today thinking of Britney and her next album and Say It Right by Nelly Furtado came on. Literally imagine Britney singing it? I can totally imagine it. Better yet imagine it as the LEAD single from her next album. Fans and radio would eat it up. (Not saying I don't like Nelly of course I love her version Im just trying to think of a type of soon that Britney could pull off for her "mature" album.)

    Woah, she really does.

I still think that, despite some funky eyebrows and some blunders here and there, she remained thoroughly beautiful throughout Femme Fatale. She's just a good looking person.

It is a candid pic from the other day, she is spending time in Brentwood with her friends and family.

  19. #23044
Aww, that's really sweet. Who's the baby?

Where'd the pic go? I woulda swore it was one of her kids, same droopy mouth her kids had as infants.

  21. #23046
But her kids are grown up now. That was a baby (girl?).

Nah, as already been pointed out, there have been lots of "Say it Right" copycats. I think she should go for a new sound, not recycle the sound of Timbo ballads. As much as I love that Nelly track, I wouldn't like to see more repeats of that.

A sound however that I think could fit a "mature" Britney is something like Siobhan Donaghy's "Medevac": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDHGepM7k9w

Also, I would like that they finally made something out of that "Rebellion" demo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SLINoB4qVo), that was one of few Britney songs with potentially interesting lyrics and a darker sound, but still in her "own" Pop style.

Britney has is soon 15 years in the business, and still holding onto a more teen-ish image and sound. She has yet to release her "Rated R" or let alone her "Like a Prayer".

She should go all Lana Del Rey-ish on us in her next release, I can actually see her pull something like that off because she doesn't need to use some big vocals, and I can see her voice fit into that sort of noir-neo-Nancy Sinatra type of style.

But something tells me will yet again have another Martin/Luke product of dancy-pop. I mean it's nice I guess, but she's a woman with kids that has been in the business for 15 years and have went through quite alot in the public eye, one would expect some maturity finally. It all depends on if she still wants to be a product puppet or actually wants to make a personal record for a change.

Her next album will Max Martin and Dr. Luke feat. Brit-bot, again. This is Britney. Expect more and expect to be disappointed.

Well, I don't expect her to go all indie avant-garde on us, and most probably she'll continue be a producer's puppet, but one can still wish.

It's not as if I dislike her or "her" music, I think all her albums (except for Oops...) have been pretty good, and I really enjoyed Femme Fatale, so it's not as if the music is particularly bad, is just that I somehow wish she'd grow. It's not as if her music of lately can be directly compared with the early 00's teen-pop stuff she put out then, but it's still a very "easy" sound she pulls off.

I´m fine with Luke & Martin, Femme Fatale is still an amazing album.
Daft Punk / Britney / Björk / Lana Del Rey / Robyn / Gaga / Florence + the machine
