Ok, I know I'm a bit late in getting to this (the DVD of season 1 was only released this week), but True Blood is great. I'm not sure if it's been shown in the UK or Europe yet, but when it does, make sure you check it out PJ-ers!

It's one of the most watchable shows on television. Ok, if you're going to get the first season, know the first three episodes are, well, not very good. But around episode four, and then onwards, it gets REALLY REALLY RIDICULOUSLY GOOD AND YOU'LL BE OBSESSED.

I'm thinking of watching this as I love vampire shows (well, "Blade" and "Buffy" anyway) but I fear it looks a bit 'porn-ish' for me. Unless it's a show like "Sex & The City" I don't like shows with copious amounts of unecesarry sex scenes... Is it like that?

Yes! The maenad storyline is BIZARRE, but I find I'm loving Jessica's character (which is odd, because I hated her so much when she was first introduced). Jason needs to get the hell out of the Fellowship of the Sun, however. He was much more fun naked.Originally Posted by absintheboy

Yes, loving the second season (though I can't shake the feeling that the entire series jumped the shark when Sam turned into a dog).

Ryan Kwanten is so hot. I was watching this film called Dead Silence with him as the main character the other week. I just kept thinking about how much I wanted to eff him all the way through which kind of made me forget the story line. Oh well.
Oh I hadn't realised there was a topic for this but I love this show. The Jessica and Hoyt storyline is my favourite right now. I was just about melting the other week when Jessica 'popped premature fang' and Hoyt was incredibly sweet about it.

Season One is being advertised in the UK as "coming to FX soon" so those of us with cable or satellite may see it in a few weeks. Eventually I will see Anna Paquin romancing the supernatural.

My sister is very excited about this. I saw a clip on YouTube to see what the fuss was about and it was so weird. Bill is sitting talking to Eric and he says something like, "Sucky must be protected."

I'm watching the first episode just now... It's not bad and I'll watch the next episode, but the acting's pretty annoying (mainly due to the accents, I think) and the sex/language comes across as little forced, like they're trying to be edgy or 'badass' on purpose.
