I really liked those two episodes too!
Those two episodes were the first of the show I'd watched since something like episode six of this season, because I had all but given up on the show - only reading recaps/Wikipedia/outraged Twitter comments to keep up and downloading the Lea Michele songs... But I heard that these two were better and I was impressed! It reminded me more of the show in the first season... Oh, and Lindsay Lohan was nothing short of amazing amazing amazing.
These past two episodes reminded me of why I loved the show. There were flashes of it in some episodes throughout the season, but we only got maybe one other episode all season that was through-and-through amazing. However, I still wish they'd cut out the fluff characters (Sugar, especially), and focus on the ones that matter, or can at least act. Mark Salling was incredibly affecting on Tuesday's episodes, and I wish they'd given both him and Tina more time this season. I love Dianna Agron, but Quinn has been sucking the screen time from other characters into a void of emptiness. The beginning of the season was promising, but she's just being written in circles. Time to be done with that.
The Disney Girls.
Those two episodes weren't bad, nothing amazing. Felt the body swap was a bit rushed, was nice to see Tina get some screen time though.
This season four spoiler sort of ruins the finale and the whole goodbye angle thats been rammed down our throats the past few weeks...

The first of the two eps especially was really well done. Puck and Beiste's locker room scene is probably the most emotionally affecting thing the show has done.
I didn't like the Beiste domestic abuse storyline though, thought they were just trying to ram another issue down our throats although the scenes she had with Puck were great scenes! I have loved the last 3 episodes after I felt it had gone a bit downhill since it came back from the break, guess I'm going to be a sobbing mess when they graduate!
The Beiste storyline was mostly poorly handled. It came out of absolutely nowhere, and the way the show tried to draw parallels with Rachel and Puck's respective failures at their audition and exam seemed... wrong.
Finale was a bit of a mess. The saddest scene was Quinn and Sue, surprisingly. Yay for you Quinn fans!
Yup, I cried from the car scene right through to the end of the episode! I did cry at the Quinn/Sue scene too, and at a good few other points during the episode.
I cried from the first minute when they showed the old clip of the original 5 mixed with them performing the same song now, sob!
Thank fuck Finchel is dead. Seriously, the amount of air-time they had was ridiculous. I mean, the last 10 minutes were practically the fucking Rachel show than Glee. It's also complete bullshit that she got in over Kurt. She choked her audition and had a suspension on her application and got in, yet Kurt knocked his audition out of the park and had a flawless school record yet he didn't get in? Blegh.
The whole thing was a bit crap to be honest.
I cannot at this. It SHOULD be the Rachel show honestly, because Lea Michele is better than all those other basic bitches. I think Kurt maybe should've also gotten in, but there's no denying that It's All Coming Back to Me Now performance, easily one of her best vocals and better than anything any other singer on the show could do. Finchel is the main couple, so of course they're going to get a ton of airtime. That being said, they shouldn't have spent so much time in season two breaking them up and getting them back together. They should have just let them be and focused on the other characters during that season instead of playing catch up with equal distribution this season.
The Disney Girls.
I honestly hope thats the END of Finchel, but I doubt it. Loved the Quinn/Sue scene. It was a good finale.
Yes, she's talented, I can't argue with that but that doesn't mean she should get most of the airtime. Honestly, it gets dull and from what I've read online it is one of the main criticisms being leveled against the show. I mean, this whole episode was meant to be the seniors graduating and saying goodbye and yet in the final 10 minutes, when one would assume the actual final goodbye would take place, all we got was Lea Michele's ugly cry face and weird singing expressions.
As for Finchel, I understand they are the main couple and should get more airtime but that doesn't mean they should get as much as they do. They get a ridiculous amount to the point where you're seeing Finchel scenes 5-6 times an episode compared to Britana/Klaine 5-6 times every few episodes. It doesn't help Lea Michele is just dreadful, everything about her apart from her voice is mediocre to the extreme and considering her and Cory are dating, there is no chemistry between them.
Burt doing Single Ladies and the scene between Quinn and Sue were the highlights of the episode. Though what the fuck was Quinn doing with Puck? I thought she was dating Joe?!
The only thing mediocre about Lea Michele is her fringe!
This!
I agree they get too much airtime comparatively, but I don't think it's an absurd amount. Kurt and Blaine just go in circles, and they drive me more crazy than any other couple. They're just so blah most of the time, and I love a good gay couple, trust me. Sebastian was the best thing to happen to their relationship.
Was it just me, or was Quinn's acting when it was just her voice really disjointed? She was talking awkwardly and trampling over sentences, it was all rather odd. I wish they had done something with her character other than basically changing her personality every few episodes. I'm glad her and Puck ended up together, but the way she behaved just seemed weird.
The Disney Girls.
The episode feel really short to me. I kind of felt with another ten minutes added on that would have almost been a satisfying series finale for the show.
I'm glad they're scattering the characters next year, although it seems like anybody not going to New York or staying in Ohio is basically getting demoted from being regulars in all but name.
The ending seemed really odd, like we were only saying goodbye to Rachel when its no secret that she's back for season four as a regular anyway.
Song choices were fucking terrible.

Yeah I found that weird too.
So, as for Season 4, Wade/Unique will clearly change schools and join New Directions, Rachel and Santana will probably team up / become mortal enemies in New York (along with anyone else that's going there, I can't remember), Mercedes will be in Hollywood but will probably end up doing "hilarious" dog food commercials, Finn will be seen singing "In the Army Now" in a slow-motion warzone, Quinn and Puck will probably only appear occasionally, and I have no idea what Kurt and Mike will do.
Brittany's basically
going to be Screech from "Saved by the Bell" now, isn't she?
Oh, and the Cheerios will have new uniforms.
Hopefully whatever Kurt's doing next year will remain off-screen, can't stand him.
I bet the duck's in that hat.
That cheesy, contrived scene where Finn was chasing the train and where Rachel looked up to start crying had me BAWLING.
It was an okay finale. Joe is a waste of space so I'm glad Quinn went back to Puck. I'm surprised they decided to reject Kurt from NYADA, having him and Rachel having their larks in New York would have been alright viewing I guess.
I reckon Unique's headed to New Directions too, which is going to be AWFUL. She's going to be such a one-dimensional character, playing up to every effeminate stereotype in the book. It's essentially Kurt 2.0.
I'm a bit concerned for the ones they decided to leave behind in New Directions. The Irish one, Sugar, Joe...they've had little to no character development in the series they've been in, and now they're just gonna be shoved front and centre? Tina's just a lame duck through and through- as is Artie- you pretty much have Blaine and Sam carrying it. Losing Rachel, Mercedes AND Santana is just appalling, there's no female lead decent enough to take their place.
And something I may throw out there as speculation: Rachel and Jessie getting back together, but this time under genuine circumstances. He'll weed his way into NYADA on a conquest for her heart, having realised the screw-up he made first time around. Which is fine, because he's pretty fit. They'll get joint lead on some kind of Broadway show. Will Rachel in New York also mean more Whoopi Goldberg? And will a new series mean more Roz Washington? Both are flawless.
Yeah because Lady Gaga is the only pop star of this generation to have an iconic anthematic song. California Gurls says hi. *Eye roll*
I hope they don't focus too much on the actual Glee club that much next season, the quality of talent they've been left with leaves a lot to be desired. The thought of Unique being a full time character makes me wish they'd ended it all completely.
Looking back at the finale, it was nice to see Rachel realise there's more to life than being a star, and offering to sacrifice her dream (for a year at least) to help Kurt and Finn get theirs was kinda sweet from a character development point of view.
