    Haha, same here. That OST has the original In The Name Of Love by Thompson Twins, doesn't it. Let us know how that sounds (if they managed to get a proper master unlike Edsel did with the Set reissue).

    What recent-ish artists would I have to like if I were to enjoy Joni Mitchell? That boxset sounds like an appealing way to get into her music.

    Gosh....Joni from 1968 to 1979 goes from sweet, high voiced folk, through confessional acoustic, jazz-tinged pop, world-music tinged jazz-pop, to mellow, groove-based ambient jazz-pop, to all-out jazz (via be-bop and rap) with the Mingus collaboration in '79.

    So, a bit of everything! Laura Marling's been name-checked lately as a Joni-influenced artist, but in many ways Joni Mitchell creates her own little world across these albums. The journey really gets interesting around Blue and peaks with Hissing.. and Hejira in 1975/76.

    Do it Rhombus, you seriously won't regret it! Like EG put it, albeit much more eloquently, you'll find something to love, maybe several somethings. 'Blue', 'The Hissing of Summer Lawns' and 'Hejira' really are the zenith, but there is plenty to love on the other albums in the box. I have a big soft spot for 'Ladies of the Canyon' too.

    Had a trawl through Tesco's Entertainment website - mostly £3 and £4 offers, and bought this;

    £2.34 for seventy '70s bubble gum pop tracks is fine by me! It's quite a nice design, too!

    Hopefully I can find the companion release, Honey Honey, just as cheap in the future!

    EDIT: Found Honey Honey for £3.99 on Play.com! £6 for the pair, basically. Bargains.

    The Hollies were great; they were a favourite of my Mum's so I've been exposed to them that way. There is also a great Hollies documentary on again this week, repeated by Sky Arts1, if anyone has that. 2 hours, very in-depth.
