The Smiths "Complete" iTunes LP is only £9.99 at the moment (usually £24.99, I think) - 106 songs, 6 videos and the iTunes LP thingy. Bargain.

For me, you can't have The Smiths without the fantastic artwork and replica gatefolds etc, but that's excellent value for digital files of it all.

It's pretty good seeing as you get around a dozen extra tracks, (B-sides and alternate/single versions that aren't on the CD version), which would cost more than the entire thing if you bought them individually to fill a few gaps.
I just wept... I just saw Tangled Up in Poundland. Sad times. They also got Alphabeat in there too.
Oh and Goldfrapp (The Singles) is £2.99 on Amazon, so getting it!

For anyone who passed on the (confusing) Skunk Anansie greatest hits packages from 2009, like me, the 2xCD/2xDVD limited edition box set with 4x posters is currently £6.99 here;

Snapped up!

Smashes & Trashes arrived today and it's the foldout digipak edition (CDX), with 2xCD & 2xDVD but it doesn't have 4 posters. That's the £25 one (CDL).... all that extra cash for 4 foldout posters?! Anyway, I'm sticking with this £6.99 edition. Bargain.

I got the poster edition from HMV for £6.99 a couple of years ago. It's a great set, well worth it.
Replying with GIFs is like arguing with a tree - really boring.
It's worth paying £19 more for the posters? I doubt it. They only edition stocked in the HMV store up here has been the CD and CD+DVD editions, I've never seen the limited ones first hand until today. It's a hollow purchase really, for someone with everything they released anyway. 3 new songs (2 of which already have the CD singles for), some dreadful remixes (billed as "the best of the remixes" when in fact all but one are newly comissioned - and mostly crap) and then the DVDs, which wont get much playing.... but I just wanted to tick the box and finish the collection. They have a new album out in 3 weeks though!

I didn't write what I meant very well, sorry. I just meant £6.99 for either of the 4 disc versions is worth it. The packaging is different though, the one with posters isn't a digipak, it's all in a box with each disc housed in the poster itself. Found this picture on Google:

An unusual one for me, as I'm not the world's greatest mp3 fan, but the new Blur single Under The Westway is 89p on amazon...for BOTH tracks. You effectively get the B-side for nothing. I was planning to get the physical CD, but that's at least five times the price.

I got the CD (but I'd already bought the single from iTune supon release date too... wouldn;t have bothered if they'd announced physical releases at the time though!). It's a 5 tracker in a card sleeve for a fiver. Expensive and not very exciting (instrumental x 2 + 1 acoustic version) but it finishes off my physical Blur collection.

5 quid for those contents is why I had second thoughts about the CD format, much as I prefer them. Ah for the days when it would've been 1.99!

Lucky you! Now, I'm totally emailing them... the shop is really poor actually, the order catalogue number on my invoice is the sandard 1CD one, so I was already a bit worried. Then I ordered a CD single I was missing and they sent me a 7". They haven't replied to my email about that yet.

Yeah, you definitely should. The catalogue number on my invoice is for the 1CD too... Thankfully apart from that upgrade the rest of my order is as it should be (which is good, as this was a great excuse to buy the Astrid Williamson single I don't own, and I'd have been pissed if they'd got that wrong.
They emailed me back and are sending me a CD to replace the 7" they sent in error and I replied saying "thanks, and also... " so we'll see how they reply to the issue of two people buying the same product but getting a different format. Maybe they'll swap for me. I have poster envy.

It seems Sainsbury's Entertainment is "one to watch" for a lot of major music pre-orders at the moment. Most of the big standard editions of releases are £6.99, undercutting 'the big three' by a couple of quid. Some of the deluxe editions are decently priced too. They don't tend to come up on price comparison sites so it's worth checking them before you buy.

Thanks for the reminder! Just preordered The xx's new album for £6.99. Fab.
Now to decide whether my Play.com signed preorders are worth the extra £2...
Did you know if you go into HMV stores and pre-order the album, you get a free CD single of Angels right away? Well, you do now.

Melanie C - The Sea reduced to £4.49 on Itunes well worth buying good album!
Yikes, 4.49 for a physical version isn't too great these days, let alone for a sequence of 0s and 1s!
