    Wait. WHERE?
Ladylike is on my list of albums I must own but have been putting off because it's 10 euro or more everywhere.

They are not the fastest at posting things to you (I normally receive Tuesday releases on Friday), but WOW HD have 15% off at the moment. There are a few perks, like they go by the US release dates and don't charge import taxes - so I managed to get Haley Reinhart's Listen Up for £7.99, when it's not even out in the UK. Oh and the postage is free.

I've just ordered the Deluxe copy of Usher's Looking For Myself for £6.99 & Maroon 5's Overexposed Deluxe for £8.49

For some reason, they are ridiculously expensive for older products.

Katy Perry: The Complete Confection is down to 5.99 on amazon, which seems a good deal.

I can't believe HMV et al still sell it for the full £10, 4 million sales and 18 months later. It's about time the thing was discounted!

Though from a customer point of view I agree, I kinda think it's sad how quickly prices go down these days. If the demand's still there to get away with it let's keep pretending CDs still have some worth.
And 10 pound's still pretty cheap. I wouldn't get any relatively new or popular CD for that price in stores here.

  11. #1011
Oh, I agree with you in principle. I've been horrified at the de-valuing of music over the last few years, even though it has saved me me a LOT of money, because at some point there has to be a long-term consequence. That's probably happened already, actually, because if someone like me is second-guessing themselves over whether to pay full-price for a new CD in case it goes down to £5 in a few week's time, then most people are as well. Whereas 10-20 years ago, you knew where you were with the store's picing strategy and it would only get reduced several months down the line in their occasional sales at Xmas or in the Summer. Something fundamental has changed when 7.99 doesn't feel like an asbolute bargain.

I got 9 of the 10 VHS videos of Wienerworld's Eighties Video Stars that were released in 1989. A charity shop all from 1980-1989 except for 1983 for 50c each. Here's a link to what was on the 1981 video:

Been watching them through my video and stereo with my brother and it's been so enjoyable. Much better than waiting for YouTube to load and buffer! Anyone else get these when they came out?

Ventured into Poundland today to see if there were any decent "Replay" CDs (there weren't).

But I did get a couple of good audio books - Sense And Sensibility And Sea Monsters (9 discs) and Steve Martin's "The Pleasure Of My Company" (read by him - 4 discs) for, obviously, a quid. Both unabridged and handy for car journeys...

They were amazing, picked up a couple from charity shops myself over the years. Good luck finding the 1983 one to complete your set.

In the new Play sale, the recently repackaged Fleetwood Mac 4CD set 25 Years: The Chain is down to £7.49. Well worth it at that price, I would have thought.

Yeah, that's what it effectively costs in the HMV 2 for £15 offer at the moment too. It's very nicely done, and that's from someone who has the original luxury edition. I hope Warners do more of these!
