    Re: Lady Gaga - ARTPOP

Oh I prefer GUY to Sexxx Dreams by some margin, but both are infinitely better than the lacklustre DWUW. Sexxx Dreams is easily the most ear-catching of the three though.

    Re: Lady Gaga - ARTPOP

Sexxx Dreams is far more notable and unique than DWUW.

That song with an amazing video could really have been something special.

And also, Do What U Want is nowhere near as strong as general opinion on here would suggest.

I should really watch this, because everyone I've spoken to in real life has said it was bloody awful.

    Re: Belinda Carlisle

I officially can'r stand Emotional Highway. Dreadful song. The only non-filler Belinda album for me is the aforementioned Runaway Horses, although it comes close with Deep Deep Ocean.

    Re: Saint Etienne.

Ooh I totally disagree! There were comparisons to be made of course, but Lipslide was far a far more straightforward pop album than anything else Saint Etienne have ever put their name to.

    Anyway,...

    Re: Belinda Carlisle

    Emotional Highway much?

Although alongside Runaway Horses, it's definitely her best record.
  12. Re: Kylie Minogue - Kiss Me Once (Album) / I Was Gonna Cancel (Single)

I can't find the General Kylie thread so I will pose the question in here:

Is there anywhere to get the deluxe editions of Kylie's SAW reissue albums for less than the 25 apiece they're asking on...

    Re: Garbage: Sixth Studio Album

Haha yes it seemed none of the record shops here in the UK could shift them, plus I think it was massively over-shipped initially.

Poor Beautifulgarbage. It was doomed before it even got out of...

    Re: Garbage: Sixth Studio Album

I've got it. Once you open it it's impossible to reassemble!!! It was a "limited" affair, but if I remember correctly there were loads still lying around in record shops more than a year after the...

    Re: Madonna - 13th Album

But the difference is that whatever you may think of American Life, that album was the last one of hers that really had an agenda or anything to say. It had Madonna's passion and drive stamped all...
  16. Re: Kylie Minogue - Kiss Me Once (Album) / I Was Gonna Cancel (Single)

Any preferential track list for this album not opening with the title track is clearly wrong. It's so head and shoulders above everything else.

  18. Re: Campaigns where everything just went wrong! wrong! wrong!

It always astonishes me how vastly overrated Body Language is on here. Even its best track (Slow, obviously) is only a 7/10 affair. I was so excited when I got that album, but it was utterly...

    Re: Lady Gaga - ARTPOP

I'm fairly unbothered now by all the ArtPop trauma. I'd have loved more singles and videos but perhaps that wasn't viable. I've still got what I think is her best album of her career from the era!

    Re: Lady Gaga - ARTPOP

For me, GaGa has gotten progressively better with each record. And that's all I can ask for.

I'm beginning to think that Vas is right and they should have gone with Sexxx Dreams as the first...

Re: Rita Ora - 'I Will Never Let You Down'

It's funny cos it's true. I literally hate everything she did prior to this song, which I adore.

I'd like to know the truth here, but I feel sorry for all parties involved that it's come to this....

The bit in bold I really agree with completely. As for stopping having so much input into her music, I can't imagine anything worse. But next time around she should let her amazing (self-penned)...
