Old series are the best. Much better productions, clearer dialogue, less nonsense, and not as much overwhelming music to "lead" you.
(Except for Mr. Selfridge, that's ace).

TTD was the star of 1987-88 for me, once Prince had done his thing with Sign O The Times. TTD's debut album wiped the floor with anything else around in the second half of 1987, perhaps that's one...
I want your 80s CD singles, haha.
If you're going to be outspoken, best to find a really worthy cause. But then they wouldn't have a career left, I guess.
Yep, I'm on-message now....it's one from my archive of avatars that I've used over the centuries!
I can sit this one out, haha.
Yeah, seems a good idea!
I hate it when the ads are down both side as well as halfway down the page. That bloody Star Trek one and the chocolate one were doing my head in last week.
I'd snap those up myself if I saw them in a used/charity shop....but the contents do tend to be underwhelming...usually an extended mix, the 7" mix and an album track for a b-side! 3" is no problem...
I gave the Go! Team track my 12 points, and bought the album immediately after hearing it.
Is the a-ha a 3" single? In 1988, Warners ones tended to be.
(Yes, Morten's solo stuff can be very valuable).
Oh you mean my namesake...

CEX does seem to focus on reselling laptops, ipods and phones for ridiculous prices. I occasionally find a gem in the DVD sections (Mr Selfridge S1 brand new for £8), but it's very slim pickings now.
"Me too" to both these statements!
1988 marked quite a sea-change for me too actually, a lot of it quite traumatic. Nobody needs to know about all that though, so don't ask! Haha.
Point taken, and I never need to look for credibility, I have too much already haha. It's simply that sometimes I get the feeling people forget we are here because we've been approved, and it's not...
Because of no new Madonna records, I assume?
Why not add in Ray-J, Alt-J, LL Cool J......and....erm....
Haha, 1988 and Kylie's 37 number twos.
It's hard to remember how much of a breath of fresh air Fairytale of NY was on original release. I don't think anyone expected it to be such a big, and evergreen hit. Much as I loved the PSB in '87,...
