Re: Röyksopp - The Inevitable End (Last Album)

Not thrilled about so many tracks featuring Jamie McDermott either, but the track with Ryan from Man Without Country is great. I was also hoping for more female Scandinavian vocalists, but I guess...

Re: The Veronicas - Life on Mars (Third Album)

Beautiful song, but I'm getting 'buzz single' vibes, not 'we're back, bitches!!!' - they need something stronger than this to get back on the single charts. But it's certainly different, and they...

    Re: Dragonette.

Outlines is amazing! It doesn't really have the Dragonette sound, but Martina's voice sounds fantastic on it. Great video, too.
  4. Re: Ella Henderson - Chapter One (Album) + "Ghost" (First single)

I'm sure Glow will be playlisted, it's still a month until release. Radio was never gonna playlist it when Ghost was still doing as well as it did. As that's slowly dying off a bit now Glow stands a...
  5. Re: Mutya Keisha Siobhan - New Album Discussion [2013]

Really not blown away by Burnt Out - even if it's just a demo. Definitely sounds like b-side material to me.

Re: Betty Who - Take Me When You Go (Debut Album)

I like the cover, but agreed, it doesn't fit her style of music at all. Something in the vein of the Slow Dancing cover would have been a lot more fitting!

Re: Charli XCX - Second Album & Singles

Video definitely does the job - the shots of Charli dancing on top of the school bus are everything. The Rose cameo was a bit random and not as fully-fleshed out as it could have been, but still a...

A new (!) "slower, very emotional" version of Anthonio will feature in the film The Guest, out next month:

Sadly she was only a stand-in on Norwegian Idol (alongside Margaret Berger) for Tone Damli while she was giving birth to her first child. Annie should be a permanent judge!

Re: Charli XCX - Second Album & Singles

A triumph! I'm getting late 90's Garbage + Republica vibes. Can't go wrong with that. The lyrics are slightly juvenile but that chorus is so catchy it doesn't matter. I love how she sings "dancing"...

It's good. Dancy (4-to-the-floor beat) and retains the original synth riff in parts. There's some nice vocal effects in the instrumental bits.

She's been talking about that memoir for what, 10 years now? I'm not holding my breath for it to ever happen.

    Re: Florrie.

Oh yes, the EP's out in Ireland today.

I prefer the original versions of both... Left Too Late sounds a bit watered down like this - the key is lower than the original and that's taken away some...

Re: Jessie Ware - 2nd Studio Album (2014)

I still love Tough Love, but Say You Love Me is way too middle-of-the-road and Ed Sheeran-like for my tastes. I have faith the album will be fantastic, nevertheless.

Re: Ariana Grande - My Everything (Album & Singles)

She's so awkward and wooden. Great voice, but I see zero charisma.
  20. Re: Ella Henderson - Chapter One (Album) + "Ghost" (First single)

Bloody hell! Glow is outstanding. I love her vocal in the verses and how she's toned down the yelps in this one. Great video too!

Glad it's finally out - it's very strong indeed. Come Friday is probably my favourite track, the chorus is brilliant.

It might be that it's only the streaming services release date that is 5th September - that's the date I was told today. But let's see on Tuesday!
