I used to LOVE that film, not to mention the theme tune! I have really vivid memories of going mental in my living room to that track when I was a kid.

It's no longer so bad it's good.  I've had to turn it off.

I couldn't stop laughing everytime I saw the guy who played Richard in Sex and the City with a white wig on.

I used to love the first movie, I even bought official VHS (for Russia in the 90s having non-pirated film on VHS was a major thing). But now I cannot look at this without regret - I just liked the game and the film cached in on that.

It was the sequel that Shockbox was talking about.  The first movie isn't actually bad for what it is.  It's well put-together and, like Ronseal, does exactly what it says on the tin.

The second - Annihilation - is awful.  It played at my cinema for a week and did fuck all business compared to the first one's substantial take.  You could tell it was going to be shit when they killed off Johnny Cage instantly, and also all the cast members bar Robin Shou and Talisa Soto changed. (Christopher Lambert becoming Dexter's dad is my favourite swap there)  Also, the end credits ran at the slowest possible speed, because the film was under time and they used the credits length to bump it up to the required length for a feature.

Couple of not bad tracks on the OST though.

Can't get enough of that wonderful Duff.  Or Frankie.  Or Una.  Or Molly.  Or Rochelle.  Or Vanessa.

Ahh, I've never seen the second one all the way through but isn't there a really ridiculous bit where two birds mudwrestle for ages?

On a sort of related note, the Street Fighter film (the Van Damme) one is one of the best trashy action films EVER. I love how he makes no attempt to do an American accent, and of course there's Kylie sort of trying an English accent for a while then eventually giving up. Don't even get me started on Raul Julia chewing as much scenery as is humanly possible - he is (was :( ) amazing.

I heard the recent film they made (with the girl from Smallville) was even worse, but I've not seen it. Should I bother?
