Hey, do any of ye guys remember this band? They had some pretty good songs, like Spanish Eyes and A Different Life. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get their album- A Different Life or if someone could pm it to me please. Thanks

ooh i loved them! They came to my school (when i was still in school) and sang Spanish Eyes and Infidelity - both of which really should have been really big singles here. As well as Sometimes When We Touch and a couple of other songs.

I have the album and it is pretty decent - though the tracks ive said are probably the strongest. I think i got my copy from Amazon but it was a few years ago now and i don't know if it'll still be there. You could try ebay as well.

Also - there's a new Irish pop band around called Industry. They're coming over to the UK in January, but they've released 2 singles in Ireland called "My Baby's Waiting" and new single "Burn" - which came out last Friday. Click on the links in my signature to find out more

"Sometimes When We Touch" was HUGE here in Sweden. It was on steady airplay rotation for an entire year, at the least.

Although I loved "Infidelity" the most. The strings!

The strings bit is nicked from Papa Don't Preach isn't it - it fits very well though

Yeah it samples it.
This is wierd that this cropped up, was listening to a dance track that has the same sample last night and was trying to think of Fifth Avenue's name because they were very Industry-esque. I loved that track. Actually their stuff was stronger than what I've heard from Industry so far...

I remember when Spanish Eyes came out here and i hunted high and low for it, and couldn't find it anywhere - then in the last shop i went to (I think it was V-Shop) i saw 1 copy of it and brought it immeditely.

I had hoped Spanish Eyes would go at least top 20 here - but i don't think it even got top 100. Shame really.

Ive only heard 2 Industry songs in full and a few live (In My Arms, Don't Let Me Go) - so don't know what they would be like on record but i think My Baby's Waiting is on par with Spanish Eyes but not as good as Infidelity - but Burn is better then those songs.

With Fifth Avenue's album, its a decent pop album but (for me) the two stand out tracks are Spanish Eyes and Infifelity and the rest doen't quite live up to it. I'm hoping the Industry album will be of a much higher calibre.

Just found out the tragic news that Beverely from Fifth Avenue died in a car crash in India earlier this week.

This is so sad. My thoughts are with her family
