Seriously, no Alice in Wonderland topic?
I've seen the pictures explode over the web and they didn't look quite as I imagined, but still I am curious about it.

plus, while I was googling around I found a short movie which starred Mia Wasikowska, and it sort of quiet me. she seems rather good.

I'm unbearably excited for this movie.  I hope Burton is able to sufficiently infuse his darkness with the Disney name, because honestly the source material is quite bizarre and creepy.

Don't forget 'twas Disney that started Burton - they funded Vincent (still the best thing he's ever done, I think) and Frankenweenie, chalking it up to research and development.

I didn't know that!  Strange!

Tim Burton is starting to get really boring. He puts Johnny Depp in all this films. I hate Johnny Depp, it's like - just piss off and give someone else a chance.

I'm a bit tired of seeing the same ensemble in every movie he does as well. It's starting to come off as rather lazy.

He's still brilliant though.

Stephen Fry is The Cheshire Cat! That's me sold too (though, he had me at Anne Hathaway, but it never hurts to make sure).

I know someone who has a role in this.

I'm looking forward to it, a much better suited adaption (though I believe it is an original story) for Tim Burton to take on than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was. Tim Burton's style of 'dark' is of the gothic variety where behind the illusion of darkness things are really quite romantic and sweet which didn't sit well with Roald Dahls brand of spite for my tastes, I think it will work much better with Lewis Carrolls style. Also John August isn't writing the screenplay which is a plus especially as it's being written by the woman who did Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King and loads of brillant cartoon shows (Ducktales!).

Also, we've reportedly got Michael Sheen as the White Rabbit, Christopher Lee as the Jabberwock, and (hell yes) Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts.

I'll probably have nightmares for about three years after seeing this, but I'm not bothered.

I love that it manages to look like the Disney adaptation and a Burton movie at the same time.

Crispin Glover AND Tim Burton together is incomprehensibly good.

But Christopher Lee, Alan Rickman AND Stephen Fry together is EVEN better!

the picture of Anne Hathaway looks like how I expect Lady GaGa to look in 10 years when she's 30something 40something.

I am so insanely excited for this movie. The pictures look amazing and even better than I imagined. This is my most anticipated movie. March can't come soon enough.
