Is PJ becoming a money cow or something? The front page of the website looks terrible as well, the links at the top of the page seem to be covered by ads half of the time.

So when people write things I like: "It reminds me of this" and the word "this" is the link rather than http://youtubeblahblahblah.

How? How? How?

Was reading the front page today and was curious as to why this is such a taboo word for the forum, but OK for the actual website to use?

In the previous thread (which it was right to close, as it had been completely derailed from it's original purpose) we've have had people getting all high and mighty about whether the main Off Topic part of the forum should even exist.

Seriously?

That's not even the issue here.

We've been told it has disappeared, or been removed by accident, so it's not a matter of if it comes back, it's when.

Do people misuse the place and have in-jokey conversations which span dozens of pages? Yes, some do. But not all.

Do people discuss a wide variety of topics on there in a civilised manner? Very much so. Everything from video games to mental health, life, love and relationships, and silly drawings of popstars done in MSpaint.

Is it the wretched hive of scum and villainy that people are trying to make out it is? Of course not.

So can we we have a little bit of decorum, please? Thank you.

This is exactly the problem. There's been a real change in the attitudes of moderators in recent times, and the role they are perceived to have on these forums. They should be there to help, to keep the place ticking over, not march around the place jangling their keys like a supermarket security guard. The sad thing is I see moderators being really po-faced in some threads yet agree with their input in other discussions. Lighten up a bit, guys, I'm pretty sure you're nice people.

Again, it's never been a matter of if it was going to come back, so these sorts of comments aren't helping. Please stop presenting your personal opinions as if they are the rules of the forum.

Not sure if it's just me, but there are times that I feel this forum turns too negative. Instead of it becoming a healthy discussion about pop music, it sometimes feels like its a war zone.

So I had this idea.

How about this coming Tuesday, 28th, we all make a vow to only talk positive things. Go into threads and say what we love about our popstars, about their music, their latest singles, albums, etc and really focus on the amazing things that this art form brings into our lives.
