JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE

Last Friday our big question asked you who should represent the UK in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, and who should be responsible for the song itself.

Your responses, for once, were reasonably coherent, and the winners in both categories each got more than 40% of the vote.

What do these landslide victories for Gina G and Brian Higgins mean? Easy: that their potential amazingness at Eurovision can be regarded as scientifically true to such a degree that the 2005 Song Contest has in fact already happened. And guess what? The UK won! And it’s all thanks to Popjustice, etc etc.

Anyway, our survey said:

Of course the tragedy of all this is the fact that, at least if the songs submitted to Making Your Mind Up in 2004 were anything to go by, the likelihood of persuading any of those songwriters to get involved with Eurovision is horribly slim.

Still, don’t be too sad – at least you weren’t the Popjustice reader who demanded that the UK be represented at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest by Gandhi.
