Hannah Yadi.
The dream
"The next great hope for empowered female pop in the UK," according to Neon Gold last November.
The reality
She's at least third in that queue to be honest. With Marina's new album due in April and Charli XCX (with whom YADi shares a producer in the shape of Ariel Reichstadt) already positioned as the new goth-tinged popstar it's okay for 'the tastemakers' to like, it's difficult to see how YADi might stand out. But if we're going by songs alone - and why shouldn't we? - there's a lot to like, especially on 'Guillotine' and the slightly-all-over-the-place 'Gold'.
